3.79 / 5.00 3,779 ViewsI have an animation i've spent hundreds of hours on and I uploaded it to the portal but I realized that the movie freezes really far in but the sound keeps playing. has anyone experienced just a random freeze in the visuals at the same spot everytime but the sound keeps playing?
I have experienced something similar. Also experienced music playing on the wrong frame. also had the animation ignore all the tweens... also also also... flash is riddled with these things. Usually I copy paste all the frames into a new file... if that fails I cut the frames and put them in a symbol... if that fails I hack it all up and try a million different ways around. The bugs are abundant and their remedies are a mystery... let me know if you get a break
did you have your sound set to stream or event?
Its hard to say whats causing it but if you had your music set to event, then itll just play on regardless of what happens in the main timeline. There is a stall particularly if you reach a point in your timeline where there is a very graphic intense scene, its full of filters, bitmaps or many sounds playing at once. It might be an issue with your preloader not preloading enough frames?
I've found that when doing an animation, the sound synching issues seem to be lessened in cs4 when i have the whole movie inside its own movie clip. For some reason flash in my case, has been able to manage the timing of things better when its not dependent on the main timeline. Doesnt make much sense but yea...
