New in the store: Dr. Fetus Stickers!

The Meat Boy shirts are also back in stock, until they are out again. We already have another order in for more, so we'll see if these last until backups arrive.

Also new this week: Castle Crashers keychain.

For anyone completely new to NG and out of the loop, Meat Boy started as a web game here on NG. Edmund teamed up with fellow NGer Tommy and made a console version which has been a huge hit on XBLA and Steam.

Dan Paladin and I had previously made Alien Hominid as a web game here on NG but then formed the Behemoth to make a console version of AH and then went on to create Castle Crashers, available on XBLA and PSN.

Speaking of Castle Crashers, you can buy it for half price between December 21st and 31st as part of a holiday special on XBLA. If you own a Tom Tom navigation system, you can now download the free princess voice!

In other news...

Line Runner 2 has been bumped from the top front page spot for the week so that we can promote some Christmas-themed games while they are relevant. LR2 will be back up next week. If you haven't played it yet, give it a try! The mission modes are really fun and you can build your own levels to share:

HERP DERP I was totally going to post today on that exact thing, and use Castle Crashers and Meat Boy as examples. I spent so much time playing Meat Boy when it first launched that I totally missed the deadline for my Hallowe'en submission, and the fact that it had it's early days on NG is pretty awesome for all the reasons you're pointing at... that you can meet and team up with people on NG and have an audience to give you real feedback on your ideas is pretty awesome. Obviously those games you pointed out are all pretty good examples and obviously there are tons more too, I think it's kind of a shame to think that some of the the people bawwwwing about the idea of the site focus aiming more towards original content are totally missing that point...

I'm looking forward to buying a Dr. Fetus and Meat Boy sticker sometime after Christmas.
