Still, I'm wondering about how much the rest of NG gets in on this scene.
Don't pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men.
I was in one for Call of Duty 2 about 2 years ago. Greatest group of bros you could ever ask for.
Clans? What are clans?
If it's some online thing then that's all I want to hear about it.
We're meat and that's it. So lets fuck it, fuck it, fuck it.

No, and let me tell you why.
A buddy of mine is in one and it causes so much drama. There was one time my friend joined me and another friend for Zombies, and his fellow clan member comes in and starts spouting off about how "The clan isn't about Zombies" and such. He sounded like an asshole, and in all honesty I do the same thing clans do without as much drama with all my fiends. We play the game and have fun without "Duty to the clan" and all that bullshit.
I wonder how he puts up with it.
No clans, but I've got a small group of 2 or 3 friends that I usually go with on l4d. Sometimes we just troll, other times we rush, and sometimes we just camp and snipe at everyone.
Clans are just full of baddies who think they're good at the game. Would never associate myself with those people, rofl. I'm in a competitive css team that scrims every now and then, but teams and clans are completely different.

I've joined a few for UT99, CSS, and TF2. They are fun.
And that's perception.

You were also in the Oddly-Shaped Penis Clan with me and Alec.

Before you fucked off to PS3.
I have joined a couple of clans over Steam (mainly TF2 clans), but I'm not sworn to them as a country like some of them are. To me, they're just little clubs that start different games and servers from time to time, which I find fun. I once joined one of their servers that had a Pac-Man KOTH mod, and it was pretty fun.
I used to be really big on clans a few years ago, especially on indie games like tremulous. It really is just like an overly competitive virtual family with guns. But damn, the hours you spend just to keep your skills on par can really get annoying if you join a serious "big-league" clan, you would have scrims about every night sometimes, and it's only more time consuming if the game is something like an mmorpg.
Clans are for people who regularly play one game for a decent amount of time.
Cheating? I like to call it strategic opportunity.
I'm technically a member of that SemperFi Club on LittleBigPlanet, but that's because anyone who plays it is an honorary member.
Well I'm apart of the Brotherhood of Slaughter now, but that's about it. I've had a couple of TF2 clans in the past, I'm also part of a non-competitive HoN clan.
Only when I want to do some internet thuggin'.
I was the Official Camping Clan (or Organization idremember) i didnt play many games but it was pretty cool
Clans are just groups of assholes who take the fun out of videogames.
I'm in one with a bunch of friends I actually know in black ops, but that's it.
Was in the Newgrounds one for Killzone 2.
Many happy days were had fighting other clans and winning fights with 1 friend on my team and 3 enemies on the other.
I'm pretty sure that's the only one I've been in, though. It's hard to find a competitive community like KZ2's.
As in, one that doesn't act like they've just cured cancer after they win a match against you.
I remember back when my friend and I always played MW2 at his house all the time, he was in a clan. He didn't do much with it and agreed it was pretty pointless, and he joined it just for the hell of it.
Do I, personally? No. I don't usually play FPS' online anyways.
I currently have a clan on PS3 (and Xbox) for COD with a couple of real life people and some NGers and we have the greatest amounts of fun!

Yup, I'll be joining the Xbox one once you get me my game!
I am part of a clan, in fact I'm Co-Leader/Co-Founder. I am also the man Krbyfan1 above me speaks of. The team I currently play with is a bit strict at times, but that's because we're serious about it, so it's excusable. Do we take the fun out of games? No, but it is nice to e competitive, and if you take a victory the wrong way, I don't know what to tell you.

Teams = Clans. Your "competitive css team" is a team, thus a clan, really. There's a difference though sometimes "Clan" is associated with "Community" such as slaughter house, which has a "Competitive TF2 Team" if you want to get techincal, but it mainly just casual play and server benefits. Along with event scheduling, etc.
The whole baddie clan thing mostly comes from CoD where people make a "Clan" just to be cool, or whatever.
Hell no. I've been asked to join a clan several times on TF2 before, but I simply don't want a stupid tag clogging up my name. Not to mention clans are for 13 year old boys who think they are big because they are always given the task to admin servers. Want to have some fun? Go play Halo PC and join a clan server. Ask the mods how old they are.
However, clan =/= team.
I don't. If I want to play in a team, I join my friends.
.
Hey remember how in Halo 2 there was a feature to create, label and join clans? You don't? Well that's the only time I was into clans, a few actually. But with the loss of that subtle convenience I said "screw it" and never been in a clan since. No longings to get back into them either.
There is no Mercy, only DoDonPachi
I did once, in Team Fortress, but I'm not much for that stuff. I'd rather join a clan with friends I know in school or something.
Yeah yeah yeah, we be representin' that Newgrounds clan yo! Straight wilin' up in your grills!
Too bad a lot of people from NG only seem to get a multiplayer game, play it for a month, and then stop playing forever. We've had some dominant teams in the past.
if by joining a clan you mean changing my clan tag to the same one five people on the other team have, then yes, many clans
