Seeking Audio Artist for new Pico Game
Users working on a new Pico game are trying to find the right audio artist to handle all of the sound for a Flash based game - From reading the description, it sounds like it's going to be a very good submission when it's done.

The Audio Forum regulars are discussing the creation of regular recurring Flash Portal entries that will showcase AP talent in an attempt to increase traffic to the AP.

Points of Concern:
Zero voters are currently one of the biggest concern among the active AF users.
In contrast to Flash submissions, Audio gets very few votes so a single zero is very damaging to the overall score of an audio submission and to the overall success of that particular artist.

It just has to help advertise NGDD so for all I care it could be anything. You could have a picture of a fish and in 8 point font type "NGDD" in the corner and it would still count. But as I said, I need to get approval of the competitions before I set a starting date, feel free to work ahead, I don't for see a problem, I just don't want to jump the gun.

I don't think that there are any details just yet. It's all still being worked out.

I'm pretty sure that there will be several competitions running soon though, covering several areas - check back from time to time and I'm sure that you'll be able to get all of the relavent info.

The ngdd still needs to get more active. I miss coming home and seeing 5 more pages everyday. I'm glad the audio thing is working out though.

Sorry I have been away but I was banned, I will quickly just pespond to people and I will do the report later as I am busy. The sig idea was a very good idea and I am totally for it. The two end of week reports were great and well done to LJCoffee, you seem to be very active which means it won't just be me and Dave talking. I don't think that I have missed anything but if their is anything I have forgot to talk about just tell me.

I saw a couple of posts back that there were words about different competitions. Most of the audio competitions that have been havent been that serious. Some have actually been finnished, but in my experience, most haven´t.

I´ve come up with a couple of ideas to make it more official, and some things we can do to get hopefully alot more attention than only the audio bbs can offer.
I am going to talk with LJCoffee first and soon some wheels will be in motion, I´m quite sure...

What the NGDD most likley can provide, however, are judges. No rules, actually no nothing is decided yet, but judges will be nessecary sooner or later.

I´ll get back with a report when things start happening. After the holidays. :)

It has been a good week in the NGDD, the audio advertising seems to have worked, it is busier and I actually feel we are going somewhere.

Rucklo and I are still discussing how to help make the AP better - Rucklo's come up with some really good ideas and as soon as we get a few more details worked out we'll post the competition info here and start looking for impartial Audio judges.

Rucklo and I are in the process of getting an audio comp set up - but it may take just a bit more time.

Rucklo had a great idea and talked with the main audio mod Denvish and it looks like we'll be able to offer the winner a featured audio spot on the frontpage for a little while.

We are still hashing out details - the biggest issue aside from participation is judging.

Participants should be easy enough - there are plenty of AF peeps that we believe will want to take part. We'd need a few impartial judges though - preferably a few people that don't frequent the AF or know many of the users over there.

We're working on guidelines for the competition and for how the submissions will be judged.

We'll let you know as soon as more details are available.

Are you looking for people in the NGDD or outside? As if you want them inside I will help and if you want them outside I will try and get a dew people.
