Here at the Newgrounds Department of Defense (more widely known as the 'NGDD'), our main objective is to make Newgrounds ('NG') better place.
In the past, when the club began, our leader, Wondereyes (formely known as WonderMuffin, untill the 'Muffin' thread was locked on the NG BBS), had created a thread that was supposedly 'pro-muffin, anti-clock'. a few people joined at first, and our numbers steadily grew.

UPDATE: wondeyes is no longer our leader. CrimsonRain. AKA Dave is now our leader since wondereyes has lost intrest.

However, prior and after to the Muffin thread being locked on NG BBS, many people believed that we werent doing enough to help NG from things like Spam, Abusive behaviour, and other things of the sort.
So, NGDD has now become what it is today, and it is always becoming better.

We deal with things like spam on the BBS, abusive reviews, abusive flash entries to the portal, and we are always expanding into other areas on NG, trying to cleanse it from wrongful activity.

Infact, to make ourselves more organized in these activities, we have 'threads' where people can join up to a specific team within NGDD, so that they can aid a specific area.

For example, the member M-A-R-C-U-S is a member of the 'Abusive Review Watchout' team, and his and other members within that small group's main objective is to find abusive reviews or users with abusive reviews, and deal with the matter accordingly (in this case, that is done by marking reviews as 'abusive').
This helps rid Newgrounds of abusive reviewers, because they will become banned if their reviews are 'flagged' enough by other users.

Similar activites run throughout the club that are concerned with various other aspects of NG, like the BBS, the Audio portal, the Flash portal, etc, etc.

So that is how the NGDD is helping to better NG.
But this is not the only thing we do at the NGDD. we also hold various contests for members to compete in, and the competitions are generally things like reviewing contests, recruitment contests, and other things of the sort.

The NGDD is a friendly club, and we do not look kindly towards trouble makers. If you have any other questions about the NGDD, please do not hesitate to use this forum or the BBS thread to ask either another member, or a SOHO member (explained below) about your query.

Not sure how the member's ranking system works? its quite simple, actually.
At the top of the 'list' if you will (see the member list thread in this forum), is Wondereyes, our leader.
Directly below him, are the members called the SOHO (Staff Of Higher Order). They are given the ranks of 'General of the Department', and 'Cheif of Staff'.
Their job is to pretty much run the club along with Wondereyes. They have access to all of the threads in this forum, and make a lot of the decisions that shape the club and its interests.

Still not quite sure? simply ask. But remember, the NGDD is very anti-spam. so if you are going to make a post on a query, make sure it has content, and is lengthy.

Well I really don't think I'm going to have enough time now, because I'm am about to start a flash and hopfully if it turns out the way I want it I'll make more.

I have to admit those sigs are pretty awesome. I that logo gave a slight chuckle. I wish I had the time to compete in these compeitions... maybe there will be one one day that adheres to my schedule. Good luck to all.

I think I have lost my ability to write the 20+ reviews I used to, but I can still rack up a ton of 6,4 liners.

This is the big movie that's way more improtant than anything in the world.............na it's jsut something for a thanksgiving collab. MSTG

Nobody is on the chat feature of the NG Department of Defense forums.

I plan on making more, good quality 10 line reviews tonight, especially aiming for responses.
