Portal Awards discussion thread

I hereby make this thread for every single annual portal awards that ever comes from this point on - to discuss about the nominations, suggest users to vote for in each category (since hell, I'll be the first to admit - I barely even look at the charts out there and thus am unaware of some prominant artists I am sure) and to just leave general chitchat out of the nominations thread.

However, this thread will NOT become likethe general portal awards discussion thread where egos rubbed heads, tempers flared and people become hateful spiteful bastards - because after all, we are above the general portal in such childish behaviour, and can discuss our fun and lighthearded awards with grace and dignity.

Wouldn't wanna see any of you banned for dickish egotistical behaviour.

and most of all - HAVE FUN! The community of the audio portal is what is the most important on this site - and it's all vital that we all get along and help each other - otherwise it just becomes a file dump site full of elitism and other horrors, and we do not wasnt that.

yeah generally award nomination threads are supposed to be kept clean of clutter so that they only contain the nominations. You can still post amendemtns to your nominations and other minor discussion in the other thread though.

there probably won't be much discussion considering how small of a community we are, but you never know.

Hopefully I win something this year, nonetheless I am one of many talented musicians on this site, you know who you are, and you are just as deserving if not more of any awards than my punk teenage dubstep video game self.

Unfortunately I was just simply unable to get into more flash animations this year, but this is definitely something I am excited for as I move into next year. This is my biggest weakness to have a ghost of a chance for best artist.

Anyways, I'll post my nominations soon, and good luck, you talented chums.

Altho to be perfectly fair, BJRA has been most egotistical LONGER than anyone else :P

Ah, well I don't listen to much electronic music so my opinion on it doesn't count much.

In any case, I think some of F-777's music can seriously be really good, even if they are overrated.

And f-777 is on the top 5/30 almost all the time - and has bajillions of fans - so he's obv. doing SOMETHING right..

First off the awards are for all of 2010, not just today/this week. also they aren't really awards but more like we figure out which user fits the most into a certain characteristic

thing is, i liked his music. but he was way too damn egotistical.

also, i think most of Yourix's egotism is from me making no secret of the fact that his music makes me jizz my pants. ok, that's an exaggeration, but he's the main reason i listen to DnB, as it's a genre that previously i wasn't too fond of.
