The best gaming experience of your life so far.
Probably this, I picked up Oblivion and didn't like it for the first hour. But after you see how the games work you won't want to put it down. You can sink hundreds of fun-filled hours into these games.
Sounds great, I'm actually anticipating this game more than any other.

On another note, does anyone know how becoming a vampire changes gameplay?

It increases almost all of your attributes and skills, but you become damaged by the sun and discriminated by most non-vampires, and even hunted. The longer you go without feeding, the more damage you take from the sun.

You also take more damage from fire.

And if I remember correctly, you get even better attributes when not feeding.

Sounds like a fair trade-off, I suppose. Seeing ad werewolves will likely be a DLC, I wonder how they'll work, if you'll even be able to become one.

I don't think werewolves will be a DLC. They were an expansion for Morrowind, but lycanthrophy in Tamriel came from Skyrim so it would be kind of silly for it to be DLC.

But anyway, in Morrowind, I believe (once you got cursed) you turned into a werewolf every night after you had the curse for three days, and once you finished the Bloodmoon storyline (werewolf expansion) you could do it at will. I'm assuming something similar will be done for Skyrim.

I hope so. As long as I don't have to play a pampered, sparkly vampyre douchebag or an equally homosexual werewolfmanperson...thing.

Fun Fact: the " were " in werewolf comes from the latin word " Vir " meaning " man "

Why, THAT SOUNDS FUCKING AWESOME!

Just asking, but how did gameplay change once you transformed?

I don't think it was worth it. Having to find shelter before sunrise could be hard in oblivion.

I hope this game doesn't disappoint you guys. The fact that you've made like 40+ pages for a game that isn't even released yet tells me that some of you are quite bloody excited for it. Hope it lives up to your expectations.

If this game is not completely awesome, I'm going to stop being a nerd and get a girlfriend.

Wait... I don't see a downside.

Lol.

I admittedly couldn't get into Oblivion for some reason but I have to admit that this game captures my attention a bit more. I may just have to keep a further eye on it.

A lot of people thought that, though it was generally the people who played it a couple years after it came out, because it didn't age very well. I mean, I only played it back in 2009 but I still loved it. Admittedly it does start off quite slowly and can be pretty weird to get the hang of.

You should try this anyway, it'll probably be much more enjoyable for you than Oblivion.

Yeah I hope so.

And I guess you're right about the starting slow thing. It actually doesn't usually bother me in games but I just struggled to get into Oblivion because of that I think. On paper it's a game I should have liked, which is why I'm hopeful this one delivers more for me.

Oh my holy God...
Wonder if this will be used as the commercial

The CGI on the Dragon was incredible... I was expecting them not to show it because they weren't able to but dear God it looked good.

Because you suck.

Check your links when you paste them, it's not that hard!

System requirements aren't that high. Should probably be able to run it on high with my system and might upgrade my Mobo + CPU in january.
