Even if it requires more than 4GB of RAM, I'll update my system (upgrading my RAM means buying a new MoBo and CPU too).
Although I could buy an entirely new PC in that case...

A simple thing that I think would be cool if added was extra damage for arrow head and heart shots.

The map that came with Oblivion was more for decoration than anything really. It might have been better if they were to highlight some points of interest on it or something, because there was really no need to refer to it at all when you had access to the in game map. Maybe some people liked viewing it as a whole, rather than being zoomed in on specific areas.
The only map that I've actually found myself using was the one that came with the collectors edition of Two Worlds, because it actually had everything highlighted and they didn't show on the in-game map until you had visited it.
Still, I just like having these maps. I still have all the GTA maps and stuff (well, excluding the PS1 games because my cousin 'borrowed' them and moved to Australia).

As dorky as it sounds, I normally can't stand games with elves but no dwarves... let alone like 8 different kinds of elves and no dwarves.
Hell, Elder Scrolls even HAD dwarves, but they turned out to really just be human sized elves, which adds further insult to injury!
But, like Morrowind and Oblivion, Skyrim looks too damn good to pass up even without my short bearded buddies. Oh well, at least the Norns bring some level of norse inspired awesomeness to the table. An elf murdering bearded Norn character will do much to ease my dwarf withdrawal.

Looking back at Oblivion and then ahead to Skyrim I am just amazed at how far they took that series. Nice job Bethesda team!

And why would you want to be a short bearded man anyway, I've never liked dwarves for some reason, I just don't see the appeal. Elves are badass and have pointy ears and immortality and whatever...Dwarves are just short and moody.

Elves are filthy and dishonest, and this offensive remark shall be recorded in the Book of Grudges for the good of future generations.

Also, in the Elder Scrolls lore all of the dwarves are gone. Pretty much one very powerful dwarve tried to cast a very powerful spell and it caused all the dwarves to disappear when it went wrong. So, dwarves just don't exist in this universe but they did in the past.

Potential plot for a future Elder Scrolls game?

Look at mister doesn't read the full post ;)
Dwarves NEVER existed in Elder Scrolls. Some silly giants called a certain race of elves Dwarves because they were shorter than... giants. So in truth, the "Dwarves" are really human sized elves. Silly I know.

I never saw the appeal of elves. Who wants to be a tall girlish wuss with pointy ears? They're like a race of anime characters who are renown for their inability to take a punch and their ability to whine with the best of the My Super Sweet 16 starlets.
Dwarves on the other hand are a race that look like vikings, are merely tickled when they lose an appendage, don't need no wussy magic, and like to get wasted while skull fucking goblins. AND THEY COME IN A CONVENIENT TRAVEL SIZE! Win, win, win, win, and win!
All insulting aside, both races have their draws, that's why they're two of the most timeless fantasy creatures.

Nords in this game fit that pretty nicely. Also, I found it a little odd that black people are an entirely separate race in The Elder Scrolls lore. You have Imperials and Nords as your two white people, but then they have Redguards as the black and they are described as being one of the few races with blood coming not from Tamriel making them different than the others.
Not racist... just odd and unexpected.

I think of it more as being ethnic devisions. That way it makes sense to have multiple white races and a black race (though there is more than one african ethnicity - I'll assume the rest are just unshown).

Not once have I ever played as an Argonian. I usually go for Nord (so Skyrim should be right up my street) or Breton. Nords are just a bad ass race and Bretons, for me, are the essential choice if you want to play as a mage.

I hate argonians. " Oh hey, I can breathe underwater! " Yeah, for the two times you need to go underwater in the whole game.

I did a playthrough as just about every race in Oblivion and I never found a race I liked more than the Argonian I used for my first character. I just wish that being an Argonian born under the sign of the shadow would actually let you become a shadow scale and automatically join the Brotherhood.

Furries have forever ruined anamorphic animals for me. Where as once I would have found a drug addicted race of badass cat people cool... now all they do is remind me of how screwy furries are.

Any one who hates the Argonians can suck it.
Sides, Why you all are dying in the poisonous cloud of acid, i'll just be chilling back and watch as everyone around me dies.
But honestly they had, hands down, the best racial attributes, no disease, no poisons, no need for oxygen, simply boss.
Have fun with you shitty 20 second ghost.

It actually makes perfect sense. All the human races (Nords, Imperials, Redguards, and Bretons (kind of)) all come from a common ancestor in TES lore. Just like real life. Redguards come from a different continent than the white TES races. Just like real life.

I correct myself. You were right about them not having similar blood, but it's still not all that odd for them to be a different "race".

Well, Orcs are big green monsters and yet they come from Tamriel and then the Redguards don't. Orcs look like they aren't even human (which they aren't) and yet they come from the same place. Choosing Redguards as the race to come from another land is just an odd choice.

I see what you mean, but orcs are actually elves who got corrupted sometime back in their history and thus transformed into the ugly green beings they are today.
