Ehh there was no problem for me, but mostly because it was my first rpg. Still I haven't played a better game yet, except for FNV. And honestly, it was never that easy, most of the time you still had difficult areas or quests due to the amount of enemies you'd face.

Oh my God, I rented out Oblivion just so I could help ease these next 5 months through. I can't believe I ever sold this game, it's just ridiculously good.
I don't have a real problem with the level scaling, there are still some hard to kill enemies, such as that troll up near Dive Rock, attack that at a low level and you're screwed.
Though I will agree it takes a lot of the challenge out of it. When I first started my new character the first thing I did was go to the Arena and beat everyone in about 2 hours, if that. It would be nice if you had to level up a lot before you had a chance at winning the title of Grand Champion. Like, at first, you could maybe get to Brawler at level 2 or 3, but you'd have to be level 15 or so to actually have a good chance against the Gray Prince. "He's the best fighter that ever lived", yet a level 2 ex-prison inmate can take him down easy with an Iron Claymore.
Anyway, I'm hoping to see some more information and/or videos on the Skills. I'd like to see how Blacksmithing is dealt with, as - if it's done well - I can see myself spending a lot of time on it.
I also hope that there isn't so much of a large focus on dungeons and caves. I'm not a big fan of running around in the dark against skeletons and zombies. I'd much rather be out in a small village against invading Bandits, or maybe fighting a small battle, with other people - who can actually fight - on my side, as opposed to always fighting on my own, which was a lot of the time, the case in Oblivion.
Shit, I can't even talk about this game without getting over-excited about it, any information on a Collector's Edition yet?

Not quite yet, so that's why I'm holding off on my preorder until one is announced.

Same here, though it's getting late, because my birthday is in 7 days, so I'll have to make my dad sign a formal document stating that he will purchase it for me when it becomes available, because I just know he'll say no when I ask him because it isn't my birthday.
I wonder what kind of things will be included in the CE, hopefully it will be something worthwhile. Anybody got any ideas?

If this is true I'd be very interested. I haven't actually had the chance to finish Oblivion and $10 off Skryim would be alright.

I wonder if they'll to a 'mini-game' like we saw in Fable 2. I'm not sure whether I'd like that or not. I guess it added a slight challenge to the skill, but it got really boring after the first few times.

Not that I've been made aware of, but I'm still thinking that I'll buy one (assuming there is one) if it comes with some nice packaging and a few decent bits of memorabilia.

Tramps told me about that a few weeks back. It seems silly, because the source that I was reading said that the only DLC it comes with is the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. If you're going to make an Anniversary Edition, at least give us ALL the official DLC. Aside from a few bonus disks, this is nothing more than a re-release of the GOTY in my opinion, although if they ever announce that it is being released in the UK and the price is reasonable, I might buy it because I never played either of the main DLC.

I figured I wouldn't be getting it any cheaper than £27 anywhere. In the rest of Europe, it will most likely be EU50 to EU60 so that's why I order from the UK.
Hope that gives me the Steam key.

Get a premium Skyrim map with your preorder!
Making real maps of our fantasy worlds is an Elder Scrolls tradition. As Todd Howard said all the way back in a Morrowind blog post, "There's something about having a physical object in your hands that feels like it's part of this other world, that you are that person in the game, finding your way among the hills."
With that in mind, today we are announcing that anyone who preorders Skyrim will automatically receive a premium quality world map with their copy as a no-extra-cost-to-you bonus.
To guarantee your copy of your premium quality world map, pre-order today.
This was taken from the Skyrim facebook page. It seems to suggest that you only get a copy of the map if you pre-order, which I will be doing anyway, but it would have been nicer of them to just stick a copy of the map in every game.

That's bullshit. Why couldn't they just put it in every copy like the rest of the series? Pricks.

I got a map from Morrowind and Oblivion (I don't know about Arena or Daggerfall. Those games are hard to find in their box and at a store), but I have to pre-order the fucking game to get it? I mean I'll pre-order it, but that's a stupid bonus.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought the map as a pre-order bonus was a stupid decision. You can't take something that you've been giving us for free with previous games and use it as bonus content this time around. For shame Bethesda, for shame.
Bonus content should be something like a special in-game weapon or armour set.

Yeah, it's as if they wanted to rake in some preorders, but instead of coming up with something new to encourage people, they took something out of the game to offer as a bonus. Assholes. I know many games do this, but it was never this obvious.

The worst part is that I live in Ireland and we rarely get pre order bonuses, so I'll be lucky to get any map at all.
I want my map dammit

Can't you pre-order from somewhere like Amazon, Play, GameStation or GAME? If you pre-order online it shouldn't really make a difference where you live. I could be wrong, but I don't see why the should neglect Ireland.

I haven't really been paying attention to this game for a while so can someone answer these to me?
Is there cosmetic damage?
Do enemies level up as you level up or are there certain areas with higher level enemies that might be too hard for low level players?

Go to page 13 of this thread, there's a list of features that will be in the game.

The map thing doesn't bother me too much, as I'll be pre-ordering it so I'll be getting one anyway. But I know what you guys mean, it seems like something Activision or Infinity Ward would do, not Bethesda.
Hopefully more bonuses will be announced soon.

This just in, everyone gets a fucking map!
Bethesda has clarified that those who preorder Skyrim will be receiving a special, premium edition of the Skyrim map done up in imitation burlap. In addition, all copies of the game will ship with the traditional paper foldout map as usual.

This might just be the first game I preorder, on the off chance that the bonus comes to Ireland. Because fuck yeah, burlap. Good to see Bethesda aren't just being dicks.

I was about to say this. So, people who just buy the game will get the normal shitty map made of shiny paper. And people that pre-order will get an awesome as fuck map made out of cloth. Sounds like a winner.

Hey just don't fill yourself with some ale and get into barfights or anything...
Irish stereotypes aside, yeah, I know what you mean, I never get preorder bonuses either because games here are expensive and they never come with any bonuses either.
Sucks to be us eh mate. :( Oh well, a cloth map won't change the awesomeness of the game.

Saw the stuff about the burlap map on Joystiq or Gamesradar (can't remember which) earlier this morning. This is awesome! A proper cloth feeling map, that's so awesome. I might actually use it this time around!
