Any idea when they'll patch the boring out of Dwemer ruins?

I heard the last patch extended the length of them, and made it so there was even less loot throughout.

Hey guys, I have a headless glitch on the pc after changing races,I've looked all over google for 2 days and still found nothing. I've tried converting back to my old race, using showracemenu to change back and forth sexes, and just choosing a new race. All of these attempts still came up with a headless character after exiting the game. Any help would be appreciated

I'd love it if they'd make the horse a bit more functional and not just a way to fast travel while carrying too much stuff, being able to attack from horseback would be super nice.
I do have a question about the voice acting within the game, has Bethesda always been so all over the place with accents? Skyrim is my first venture into the Elder Scrolls games. Take the Jarl of Whiterun for instance, thick Nordic accent and then you run into his little jerkass kids who are obviously American...Or the talking dog from Jersey. The inconsistencies in accents kind of kills the immersion for me.

I'm not using god mode...... I was playing for atleast3 hours and didn't reload my game. I finally got my smithing to 100 and reloading to an earlier save is not an option. Is there any fix for this?

If you've ever played Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas, it's quite apparent that their voice acting is rather inconsistent. Also, after playing for a while and exploring new areas, you'll notice that voices/script lines/quotes/etc. are recycled quite often.
Also, when straying off of the main questline, you'll notice that many sub quests or minor characters have very cheesy script lines, and the game mood goes from serious to strange. But, no matter how strange or odd portions of their games may be, they still end up making great titles with fantastic gameplay, and a very immersive experience.

Here's to hoping for a trip to southern hammerfell where we can foil a Thalmor plot and go on an epic pirate adventure!

I've made about 11 characters - all human - because I lose interest about an hour and a half in. I've only completed the main quest once and it was on character 9. I seem to keep going back to the Dark Brotherhood and Winterhold college just because they are most interesting. I also did try out both sides of the civil war. Other than those things, what else is there to do?
Also, Skyrim is so underpopulated, it's almost painful. I really noticed this with the *SORT OF SPOILER* imperial/stormcloak "armies" in the war quests. it just doesn't feel nearly as epic as they would have you believe.
One more thing: I can't make anything even mildly attractive that isn't a Breton or Imperial ... the Nords are like 12ft. tall.

I didn't really notice this until someone pointed it out. Now it bugs the hell out of me.

Mostly I'd recommend the daedric quests if you're getting bored with just wandering around and killing everything. I do have to agree that the major battles were a little underwhelming. Laying siege to Windhelm I found it very annoying that the paths to the castle were so limited and I'd only get to kill two or three stormcloaks at a time.
As they're my secondary race after Argonians I wholeheartedly agree that the Bretons are awesome but if we ever get access to the Akaviri races as playable characters they'll have to take a backseat to the Tsaesci (and maybe the tiger-dragons if they can be made more dragon than tiger otherwise they're too much like those filthy Khajit).

I heard there's unlimited quest. But I guess that's a lie, right?
At 22 minutes ago, Aci6 wrote: Not really. When you finish the Dark Brotherhood questline and the Theives Guild they'll send you on missions to do X over and over. That's unlimited but not incredibly fun or recommended for enjoying the game.
I only did the unlimited quests for the Thieves Guild since the major ones to get them in other cities weren't showing up. It at least gave me something to do for the time being. As for Dark Brotherhood, I feel there's no need to take on the unlimited quests for them once you've done everything else.

Yeah, I tried two of them (I think the one where you get Dawnbreaker and Molag Bal?). Those was pretty cool. Are there any longer ones, though? Oh, and I also did the Thieves Guild - that was actually a lot of fun.

I wish the elves didn't have alien eyes :(. I spent forever trying to make one that I could live with, but they are all so UGLY! And, I can't take Khajit's seriously, haha.

Yeah, the Thieves Guild quest actually rewards you for doing these rather repetitive quests.
Cited from the Elder Scrolls Wiki:
After performing five total Small Jobs in a city, Delvin Mallory will offer a special job to restore Thieves Guild influence in that city. The city influence quests are necessary in order to complete Under New Management and assume the title of Guildmaster. In addition, each City Influence Quest will add a new merchant to the Ragged Flagon and increase the total gold of all fences in Skyrim, up to the maximum of 4000. Players seeking to complete these city quests as fast as possible should quick save before getting a new job and then ask for Numbers Jobs only. If it is in a city whose influence quest they have already completed, quick load and try again.
Imitation Amnesty - Whiterun.
Summerset Shadows - Windhelm. Unlocks an additional fence.
Silver Lining - Markarth. Unlocks an additional fence.
The Dainty Sload - Solitude. Unlocks an additional fence and one new recruit.
Deliver Moon Sugar to Ri'saad - Becomes avaliable after completing 3 side quests, by speaking to Tonilia.
Note: The new recruit(s) may not appear after you finish The Dainty Sload or any other specific special assignment, but rather after you have finished a certain number of them. Players have reported that Ravyn Imyan, the new recruit, did not show up until the third special assignment was finished.
After successfully completing this, you'll get an achievement for restoring the Thieves Guild to it's former power, and a chest will appear beneath the desk that Mercer Frey stood at. This chest is a tribute to the new leader, and generates gold/jewels/etc. And resets once a week in-game time.
Plus, you will get the Thieves Guild Master armor, which helps a ton with lockpicking, sneaking, prices, etc.
Also, the Stone's of Barenziah have a direct questline with the Thieves Guild. Speak to Vex after you find all 24 of them.

There is the whole radiant story line which generates random quests in random places. It's usually just a fetch quest or a quest to clear out some dungeon but it is infinite and depending on your love of killing bandits and monsters can be rather enjoyable.

With that attitude you can always find a friend in the Argonians. Which is good because as assassins we're normally very indiscriminate in who we kill (I've slaughtered every one of the Companions as well as my wife and housecarl for absolutely no reason at all).
Someone wanna tell me how I some how managed to obtain 16385 Dwemer museum keys after a few days of NOT playing Skyrim?
I don't know how many of you guys watched the Dice Keynote with Todd Howard but the game jam footage was awesome. Three things I really liked; Kinect spoken dragon shouts (I've wanted to see this since the game first came out as it would be a great way to quickly use shouts without changing between them and it's the only use for kinect I can think of for Skyrim that would be useful), build your own house, and dragon mounts.

Giant mudcrabs. That's all I have ever wanted.

I just watched the Game Jam footage and I have to say that some of those features look great, it's a huge shame that none of those things were added in the regular version, hopefully along with the high-resolution textures they'll have some of those tweaks up in the Steam Workshop rather than either keeping them or lumping them onto paid DLC, that'd certainly be a bit of a pisstake considering all of that content together took just a week to create. The mounted combat actually looks pretty good, I can imagine playing Mount and Blade: Skyrim looking at that, and it'd be incredibly fun.
SOME MINOR SPOILERS:
This happened to me on my current play through of Skyrim, and I'm quite sure it has happened to others. During the Companions quest line Skjor dies in one of the quest, but after I finished the entire quest line and had become the harbinger he suddenly was there again alive and well, and when I interacted with him he acted as he did when I first joined the companions. He can also give me quests, but they remind very much of the typical quests Vilkas usually gives you, except he doesn't have a special personal questline regarding his lycrantropia.
Guessing this has happened to some of you to, just want confirmation

I hope some of them can be DLC released soon and hopefully free. After the release of the creation kit us console players need something too.

Watched it earlier on.
I don't think I've raged this hard in ages.
"What if we worked like that more often?"
Fuck you Bethesda. Just fuck you. If you had put that same effort into the actual game, we'd have all of that now.
The few dungeons they showed in the presentation were better than every single one in Skyrim.
In that one week they managed to pretty much FIX the game. Seasonal foliage? Fucking brilliant. Giant mudcrab? Amazing. Adoption? Sure, what with no one having sex in their marriage.
You might argue that these features are most probably bug-ridden or just a proof of concept (more a proof of Bethesda being master bastards), but if they could do all that in one week, they could've gotten all of the features working nicely together within a few weeks.
I'm hoping they're gonna roll them out as DLC, but that's most probably not going to happen for free.
10/10, never buying Beth again.

Lol, I agree. Imagine what they can do I a week. If they worked for more than a month these things plus more would be in the game.
Patch 1.4 was just released, which I wouldn't have noticed had my game not entered lag hell after a few hours of playing. Let's see how the update improves that and all those glitched quests I haven't been able to do.
