It had the greatest display of CG cutscenes I've ever seen. And I don't know if you knew, but the lip syncing was actually REDONE for the English voiceover. That's something you certainly don't see everyday. If it was nominated for best cutscenes/CG animation, then that's totally understandable.

It must have been in the sense of graphics that fit the game. There wasn't any way to make that game look better without totally changing the gameplay concepts (like making it 3D)

I'm really not liking how the nominations for best soundtrack are all those rhythm games. Best soundtrack should mean the best list of original music created for the background of the game, giving it a theme, not just a playlist of music found on some stoner's iPod. This also goes for Best Song in a Game. Basket Case from Green Day? Seriously?
