Welcome to The Tarot Card Collab!
In this collab I'd like for you guys to recreate one of the twenty-two major arcana tarot cards, these are the cards that are well known (The Fool, Death, The Devil, The Hanged Man etc.).

I want you to create the card in your style using at the very least, the name of the card as the theme for the card. I'm looking for good quality work, serious and/or dark themed work is preferred but if a piece is funny enough or quality enough I'll consider it.

The large empty space is for your workspace the smaller one is where I'd like you to put the name of the card and your Newgrounds username. Save the file as a PNG

To explain how the collab is going to function:
1. There's going to be a "story mode" and in this mode the user is asked to choose from three questions which will be answered by three cards (most likely they won't be random, sorry) and after it's answered your story progresses further and you are asked to choose from three new questions and again once answered with three cards, then one final time the user has only one question which is specific to that chain's story and their final question is answered with three cards and the story ends (happily, sorrowfully, angrily, or otherwise depending on the set of questions chosen).
2. There will be a gallery to display all art contributed to the collab
3. Not a guarantee but there may be a "one card reading" option which will include all story mode questions, plus other questions which can be submitted by participants of the collab being answered by a one card chosen at random (without narration as the story mode will have).

Aside from the contributions of Major Arcana card, I'd like to have some easter eggs which will consist of Minor Arcana cards which can be found here as well http://roswell.fortunecity.com/vanthal/2 32/RiderWaite/Majors/index.htm

I'll only be approving of one version of each card, you may still submit versions of other cards which have been approved but any others than the ones I've selected to be part of the story mode will only be included in the gallery.

Other talents I'm looking for include:
%u2022 One female voice actor to voice the gypsy who will be narrating the collab.
%u2022 One person who wishes to do the backgrounds and story panels for the collab (story panels being a picture which summarizes the story being told by the gypsy during the story mode card readings.
%u2022 Anyone willing to contribute animation to the collab.

The collab opens today and it will close once the twenty-two slots are filled . You can contribute as many times as you want, I'll be checking the thread regularly to state what cards are accepted.
To participate you must post onto this thread saying "I'm going to do (insert this card)" and from the time you post that, you'll have two weeks to submit your card or be within a reasonable distance from completion or that card goes up for grabs.

My goal though is to have all the cards by January 29th. So, try and make that happen.

I'll be choosing co-authors based on the amount they participate and which contributions I believe to be the best.
Do not alter the file supplied past "aging" the card, I'd like the cards to stay the same color (unless it's being "aged").

not much room there for text, and any background on pics would look a bit wierd compared to the rest of the card

Hey this maybe one of the most interesting interactive concepts I think has ever been conceived as of yet ,Who knows I might Do a few Even though there's only going to be like only one to be excepted for each of the cards in our styles it looks fun...actually I'm creating a Jpeg file at moment to keep a category of these Major and minor tarot cards together. I remember trying them for the first time earlier this year It was the most exasperating thing I've ever felt through something so small.

Okay, in light of Ash's words I think I'll amend the time one has to work on a card to three days (sound better?)

Fer sure! And an added bonus that may or may not happen, for those who get co-authored, I may get this deck printed and sent out.

This is all dependent on a few factors though

May do something for this if I get the time

Just so you're aware, my latest blog will keep up with which cards are being worked on and what cards there are in the major arcana.

Sorry guys but those aren't gonna make it into the collab, I'm looking for quality here, and like I said, if it's gonna be funny, it's gotta be funny.

I'll let you take a stab at other cards but if you don't bring the quality up, I'm gonna have to refuse that option.
