I'm sure that there are a lot of us who share blood with somebody who was either famous, or infamous.
So, share with us who you were related to that is/was famous for something!
I'll start with the uninteresting one.
My mom's cousin was a hypnotist, I never met him but he died about seven years ago in a car accident on the highway, he wasn't famous around the world or anything but he had a good name for himself locally.
The one person I am related to somehow is somebody I am proud to say I share blood with, my Grandmother told me a few years ago that I was related to him and I was shocked.
Jesse James, the OUTLAW!
I'm sure just about everybody who is alive knows who he is, and if they don't, they will hear of him one day I am sure.
I'm not sure how we are related, but she said it was by blood.
Isn't that neat? My ancestors were outlaws, they robbed trains and shit!
Yeah, whatever.

I'm related to a U.S. president who was in office for two months then died. What a shame. I forgot his name, sorry.

I don't know, I guess I just have a strong interest in that stuff and before I knew I was related to him he seemed like a pretty cool guy.
Yeah, whatever.

William Henry Harrison I imagine. Died of pneumonia after two months.
I don't know if I'm related to anybody famous in history. One day I'll look up my ancestry.

Only one comes to mind. This former U.S. Congressman, who served in the so-called "Do-Nothing Congress," is my great-grandfather and he died just a little over 8 years before I was born. He was a heavy smoker too, and apparently used to make my dad buy cigarettes for him at a time when stores rarely checked for ID and sold cigarettes to pretty much anyone.

There's speculation that I'm related to Sir Elton John.
So far I can't confirm anything; maybe one day I'll get a DNA test done...

George Steer, a journo and a soldier, died on the last year of the second world war, the unlucky man.

He's a very distant cousin who moved to America quite a while ago.

Well, can't say I'm related to anyone famous, but my grandfather made a suit for John F. Kennedy, and my cousin used to date a woman from France that used to date Robert De Niro.

I'm related to the French Royal Family, and it's probable I'm related to Hugh Laurie.
Song of the Firefly is on Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter. Give them a look and support the project!

I don't know, I've never met him in my life.
In fact, I've met very few of my family members.
