I don't generally announce when I'm going to take a piss. But when I refer to the room I call it the bathroom.

I sometimes use "bathroom" or "the loo", but I also use "I gotta take a piss" or "It's shitting time!"

In Britian, it is actually called the lu, or however you spell it. "Lavatory" is a more formal term, however.

Well somewhat this. Although I was kinda brought up using the phrase, however if I'm at dinner or something like that I might end up saying 'bathroom'.
On the odd occasion 'Need a piss' will pop up.
