Huh. Not the picture I was getting after seeing a whole bunch of Homo genius-based videos.
I hear Tager and Jin's Icecar are all the rage there.

The game is pretty fun and has a lot more content than other fighters like SFIV. Downside is that there's far more bull-s**t tech spammers online than SFIV, as in people who pull off strings of combos that pretty much freezes you until you're dead. Luckily there's a tutorial and plenty of things to do solo. I dug the Story Mode and voice acting was pretty good overall in English. But again, I'm not so sure about the whole balanced part.
There is no Mercy, only DoDonPachi

Tager...what? I haven't actually played the game myself, but from the videos I've watched, nobody seems too overpowered in particular. Of course, that's just a spectator's opinion.
Then again Lambda at times...I'll make up my mind after I play it for myself.
My grass went emo, so now I don't have to cut it anymore.
Anyone up for some Team Fortress 2??

Well, by "all the rage", I was still referring to the homo genius videos. A lot of those videos, he's the subject of someone else's rage.
Taking out phones to ask someone what the hell happened.

I agree that we should pay more attention to Blazblue in fighting game circles and on the VG forum, considering how good the games are, but they story you made is nothing that is rather new:
1. You find a character you like that just so happen to have a powerful Distortion Drive move {Arakune}
2. Most likely, you went up against a noob who uses a limited moveset with Noel.
3. You're bragging about it here on the forums, like you won a gold medal or something.
Of course there aren't that many playing Blazblue online as SF4 or even Undisputed 2010, so the odds that you were going up against a Blazblue noob was going to be pretty good.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
CT was good. The storyline for CT though was a bit too long in my opinion, but it was still great.
Net play on CT was terrific. Felt like there was no lag at all.
All the characters are unique, but I still find that CT still had some balancing issues. Most of the better characters were more into Zoning over Rush Down. For example, many people believe that Nu (v-13) was the best character in the game due to the fact that she has the strongest zoning game and good damage output from her combos, and a characters like Tager or Hakumen had a hard time even to get in hits because of their poor ability to get in.
Continuum Shift (CS) on the other hand is also good.
It fixed the problem with the Barrier Burst and instead of putting you in critical condition when you burst, you can burst, but you'll lose a burst token in exchange. This effect helped by making Gold Bursts a lot more viable in a match. Green Bursts were also reduced by making all bursts have a shorter range, and if you were hit by a burst, you'll fly half-screen away, instead of full-screen like in CT.
They also fixed out damage output for certain characters, and increased others, and changed a few other things for certain characters like Carl's Clap Loop.
Bang and Litchi are mostly used in CS now because their high damage output and GDLK mix-up in the game, whereas Rachel was nerfed to heck and not a lot of people use her in CS anymore.
The new characters are fun too. I main Tsubaki in CS. She has good mix-ups and rush-down capability, but lacks in a lot of damage in most of her combos and she has to stop and "Charge" her drive attack to do some decent damage.
At least BB:CS II is coming out pretty soon. Get hype for the character balance!
