Also, I have a Sony Ericsson W995 at the moment. Its fucked up and falling apart but it still works perfectly. Sony Ericsson's are so reliable.

I still have my Razor which is going on 5yrs now. It has survived :

*Being dropped numerous times, only to have 1 crack on front display
*Dropped in toliet water. Died for 2 weeks then magically started working again

When I first got it, 1 full charge would last literally a whole month with it being on. Love my Razor !!

Blackberrys are not that good of a phone half the time, phone lags when u text or just navigate through phone, trackball fucks up and u cant go in one other direction, and the apps are not that good unless you want to pay like 10 bucks for a decent app. trust meh i gots the blackberry, it aint no smartphone.

Even if any of what you say is true, Blackberries are THE best business phone around.

I agree with some of the statements here -- older phones, especially ones made by nokia, survive for a long time, whereas phones nowadays have so much delicate hardware and all that you drop it, everything goes tinkle and crash.
It's funny how it should be the other way around when newer phones are made.

I have the LG Cosmos (not the touch screen version) because it allowed me to become a part of a family plan that didn't require me to spend $30 bucks a month on a data plan. There is wi-fi all over my college campus so I just use my 4 year old ipod touch to brows the internet when I don't have my laptop with me.

So far I have had no problems with it, Verizon even gave me a 2gb micro SD card for free. Granted, I've only dropped it twice, once at 20+ mph while on my bike (slipped from my pocket) and once when someone kicked it out of my hand for some odd reason. The only downside to it is that the SD card is difficult to remove so when I want to offload pictures onto my computer I have to spend a few minutes trying to get it out.

From what I have witnessed, the more technologically advanced a phone is, the easier it is to break. I had a brick of a cellphone before my LG Cosmos and it was nearly indestructible when it came to drops / throws (if you could find the battery / back case)
