So I wrote the first part of the song I was thinking of for Suzaku, I saw the other submission, and they tended to go with a very epic feeling to it. I tried to have more of an ambient theme. I could try to make it more epic, but I had the feeling more of a "background to him walking around all evil" was more of what you were looking for. There is a theme song for him in there. This was made specifically for him, though it fit really well into a series of songs I was already making, so I was going to place it in there.Hate to burst your bubble mate, but Solus beat you to Suzaku's theme as of my last post. The enthusiasm is still appreciated, though!

Yeah, haha I noticed it after I had decided to work on it. However I still feel like I made a good song so it's alright. Though, if for some reason you need it, it's there :D... Also, could you post a list of who's done, cause I'd love to make another song for you, but I'm not sure exactly who needs one.

So this time I will try not to do someone already done. I'm going to make an attempt at Lynness

Well this is disappointing. Tysuru still hasn't gotten back to me and isn't responding to PMs right now. Oh well, you can start working on that Psi theme solo now if you want, Solus.

Well i did make this instrumental with two guitar sounds. It's got a pretty grungy kind of guitar for chorus, but it's a nice tune. You could even throw on some drums if ya want.

Not particularly, pretty much everything so far has been done from scratch. Is it particularly necessary?
Took a quick flip through your gallery, I can't find anything that isn't a brass solo. Do you have any full songs on your account? Not that I can't work with that, I'm sure Mimic's theme could benefit from some live brass. I'm just trying to gauge what exactly you're capable of here.

Took me a while to get into the rhythm of it, but it definently grew on me. I feel there might be a few equalizing or balancing issues in there, but I'm not feeling particularly picky today. Great work overall, I'll be using this one. =D

Now now, there's no real hurry to get this done, especially if the time is put to good use. I'd still appreciate being kept up to speed on what's happening though, especially in the thread (I've been doing a bit of chatter over PM, so sorry if things seem a bit desolate here sometimes).
Well now that the thread's been bumped anyway, I might as well update on what's done and getting done according to what I've been told:
- Early version of Ekoi's tune got done. It was a little tame for his tastes, so I asked for it to be sped up and made more upbeat. Could do with some guitars too. Other than that, it's on the right track, more or less.
- I wasto get Metal Coat's theme by last Monday, but no response yet. I'll need an update on that, though I've been assured it's at least partly done as of last update.
- Solus is apparently a bit busy with something, so I have no idea when work on Psi's theme is gonna start. I know he's capable of cranking out a perfect tune for him given the time though, and I'm pretty confident he hasn't forgotten about me.
- Haven't gotten any further applicants since the last update, considering searching out a few guys personally for some of the themes if things don't pick up. HighBallers so far is the only one who posted his piece publicly (well, if you don't count Solus's rendition of Suzaku on account of it being made beforethis project), so I'd just like to remind any one of those people still paying attention that you're allowed to show the finished songs off if you want. It's not like I'm holding you under NDA for this stuff, XD

Pardon the delay, I've been horribly addicted to Minecraf-- err, I mean, I'd been waiting for Suzaku himself to give an opinion on it, but he's over at his folk's place right now and doesn't have a computer to listen to the track at the moment. So I guess the best I can offer is my personal opinion.
Honestly, I'm conflicted. It's certaintly closer to the original idea than Apocalypta, but I really don't know whether I want to sacrifice the latter for the former. I'll probably end up doing so anyway, but somewhat reluctantly because I fucking loved the strings and melody in Apocalypta. Also, those bell samples? Use them in Psi's theme if you aren't already, they're exactly what I'm looking for.
Anyone else have an update to add? There's still two or three people I'm waiting on.

On second thought, cancel that. Metal is wayyyyy too difficult to get right on the first try. I'm not having much luck with the tools I have on hand.

Hey Buzzcut,
I could really only think of a good theme for Suzaku, so I don't know if I'll attempt making one for anyone else. But I was wondering if you'd be interested in just looking at all the music I already have on the site and seeing if it fits anything you needed. I have a lot of different sounding music on my page so I think you could potentially find something. If not, that's fine too :)
Of course, if you hear potential for something and want me to try for a certain character, feel free to ask, and I'll attempt it!

Now hold on a minute. Your orchestrated stuff is fantastic, though I'm sure that doesn't need to be said, but if you're lacking in the Metal department for Lynness' theme I could always get another musician to make up for it. Like say, you do an orchestral backing and the other guy fills the gaps with thrashin' guitar and drums. Highballers has already expressed interest in doing another song, and I could always fork out another 20 or so to fire118 if you need the really heavy shit. Do you think you'd be up to that?

Suzaku's already been done about 3 or 4 times now. Hell, SolusLunes provided two of those themes by himself. XD
I went through your page, but I can't really see anything there that I could use. At a stretch I guess you might potentially be able to do a decent Sooku, but the general theme I was looking for was only present in one song (that being "Electro Guitar Loop"), so there's not much to judge off. For sake of comparison, this is the kind of rock-with-synth-leads I was looking for as far as Sooku's concerned, with the sole condition that it be a lot more upbeat.
You can attempt that if you want, but to be perfectly honest I haven't seen you attempt the respective genres as much as your orchestral stuff and it doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
Anyway, it only just occured to me fire118 never posted a public link to Nightmare's theme, so I'll do it for him so everyone else can enjoy it.
Albtraum
I had a link to Dread's theme too, but the link's broken on account of it being a temporary upload site. Someone bug Sinerider to release it on his NG Audio page plz. D=

I already knew that you've got you're Suzaku so I wasn't even gonna bother with that one. I'm not exactly what you'd call a guitar player so I think I'll just keep my nose out of this one :) Glad you could take a look though!
I gotta foray back into some other genres this year! Give my strings a rest for a while. Good luck with this CD!

Hey,
I noticed you have most of the characters finished, so im not really aware of how much more you're looking for. I figured I'd just throw two of mine in. Feel free to use them anyway way you want.
The first one is a very slow piece. It has a distinct atmosphere to it created by the track of monks I used.
The Gospel According To Dub
This second one again is fairly slow, and very ambient. Great for setting a particular eerie, maybe sinister mood because of the choir I introduce.
The Sacrifice
They both take a little while to get to kick in, and are rather progressive, so some parts might be of more use than others, but like I said, if you want them, they're yours to use for whatever you want.
Good luck with the project!

Psi/BL he's a character that could easily be truly have his multiple sides shown with my team. We are a team of about 5 instrumentalists and about 15 vocalists and 3 composers. We work on a very wide range of music from techno to metal to orchestra and anything else that gets thrown our way. We are currently working on a metal opera (just check out our audio page) We could use two of our singers one for the good the other for the bad as they fight in his head. Or i do have one dude that could play both parts due to his wide range of voice capabilities. So i guess if you approve of our work Vampiric Hauteur of Wingless Studios is at your service.
