Mine, for instance, I have a dumbass step-mother with three adult children. My step mother would do her damnedest to sugar coat anything her kids did bad (Even breaking the law) and pick out the littlest thing that any of us did, and claim we're horrible.

My step-bother, 24, is a criminal, he has a history of breaking the law - he has charges against him for having sex with a 14 year old girl. He's an idiot, literally - I seen his grammar and spelling, and it's god-awful - he doesn't even think McDonalds is rich. Plus, to add to his stupidity charge, he lost three of his fingers for sticking his hand in a machine at a lumber yard, trying to take a stick out, WITHOUT turning off the machine. He makes about 400 bucks a week and insists on living under his mommy's watch so he doesn't have to pay shit and blow all his money. The mother fucker, quite literally, even fits the profile of a sociopath, just not smart.

Then there is the youngest step-sister, 19 or 20, she is nothing but a loud-mouth ghetto whore. That's it, she got knocked up at 18, probably isn't aware of who the baby's dad really is. She's always running off, by dumping the baby off on her bomb, so she can spread her legs and let a line of dicks into her pussy. She's the stereotypical ghetto trash, always trying to start shit, get hit, so she can call the law. Really, she's a bitch.

Ah, then there is the middle child, 21? Not sure. Anyhow, she's probably the best out of them., going to school and trying to make something out of herself. However, she rides such a fucking high-horse I could jump off the saddle and kill myself. She's really falling in her mother's foot step. She too sugar-coats her sibling's and other family member's mistake.

well, luckily, my father is divorcing my step-mother, he got into a little brawl this past thanks-giving.

My mom was killed when I was about 8, and I was in all of these therapy sessions to deal with all the trauma. It was pretty shitty.

As you can guess, many families don't want to adopt a kid in that situation. But the family that picked me up was pretty cool. The girl who became my sister was also adopted. She was about 19 at the time, and really rough around the edges. We didn't hit it off at first, but when the evil murderous doll posessed by Charles Lee Ray tried to take my soul for the second time, she actually ended up saving my life.

So yeah, they can be cool sometimes.

To answer your question: Yes.

My dad didn't have me til he was 39, so when he got a divorce from my mom at 49 he was already getting old. Then when he got remarried at 50 I loved my step-mom...she was childless and took me in as her own. We had a good relationship, then she died when I was 14. By the time I was 14 (yeah, same age) he was remarried already to someone who was about 60. She had 3 kids who were all in their 30's. I enjoyed spending time with my step-brothers when I went to visit them, but they were all grown up with their own homes.

She however was, and is, a bitch. She's the reason I don't talk to my dad that often. Now that i'm 25 and live across the country I never have to see her but in the small time we have together she and I do nothing but argue. She doesn't understand why I eat fast food.. answer: How else can I feed myself for 3 dollars a day? Soup you say? Well, she hates it when people eat Ramen noodles and canned campbells soup, its all "produced" in a "factory" and that's not healthy! ITS HEALTHIEST TO GROW YOUR OWN FOOD!
