Suddenly, this Dell of mine -- that's been breaking apart already but is too impossibly pricey to fix, thanks Dell! -- has been having battery problems.
"The AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge. Please connect a Dell 90W AC adapter or higher for best system operation."
It is making me mad because it's the same type. It CAME WITH THE GODDAMN COMPUTER. (rage). Why is it doing this, and is there a cheap/free way to fix whatever the problem is?

You do realize places like Yahoo! Answers and what not would be far more helpful than Newgrounds BBS right?
No? Carry on.

I copy-pasted this question from Y!A to here in the span of 45 seconds. I figure, the more places I ask... the more likely I'd get a decent response.
Besides. I wuv Newgrounds' advice.

Maybe your charger is just faulty. Go buy a new one. If it fixes the problem, keep it. If not, return it and figure something else out.

He can't do that anymore: he levelled up, and now he has a whip instead of a hammer. Instead, dress as Indiana Jones, march up to Dell headquarters, and then say you need the battery to the computer fixed for important work in archaeology. Who knows? Maybe someone at Dell is the ultimate IJ fanatic and will listen.
You taste good :)

1. do you used the ac adapter when the battery together with the notebook?
2.how long time you used this compueter since you buy it?
3.maybe the IC of the adapter have some problem but not broken, so at least you can not fix it well, you'd bettery to buy a new one, a replacement one will be ok.
hope you will solve it soon.

My Dell battery won't hold a charge either. I have to leave the charger plugged in becuz if I remove it, my computer shuts off in less than 3 mins.
