THE PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET - HOLIDAY EDITION !
It's that time again for the bi-annual (twice a year) PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET. R5's most popular reoccurring event/show/whatever (by far). They had over 3500 visitors and 250+ tables of old records, clothes, art, music, food, junk, bicycles, stereo equipment, instruments, automobiles, tools, posters, furniture, computers, skateboards and lots of other stuff last summer. It's all going down at THE PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET DOME which is a brand new giant warehouse located right across the street from The Starlight Ballroom
It's the biggest location yet - giving them ability to host over 250 vendors in one single room - including yours truly. All proceeds raised will go to the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies to ensure that all ages shows continue to remain a reality at The First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia - mainly an annual payment for their liability insurance policy. Do not let the "name of the event" lead you to believe that it's just punk records, clothes etc. - it's a full on flea market with everything from furniture, to laptops / computers , to stereo equipment, to handmade apparel, to vegan treats, information from various non-profit groups, book stores, artists selling their work, bicycles & skateboards and whatever else they can fit onto the floor at this brand new location.

FINAL NOTE for the day... We just sent out payments to everyone carrying a minimum balance of $25 for rev share and Flash Ad earnings through the end of October, vs the usual $50 minimum. Over 400 NGers will have some extra money for the holidays! And thank you to everyone who took payment via Paypal; we can afford to pay you but we can't afford a secretary.

Hahaha - that is brilliant.
You would be lucky to get such publicity - way to go PETA by casting even more limelight onto Super Meat Boy.

It looks like you're paying more for postage than you're actually giving away. I hope you have a close post office.
Paging dr. seus was extremely good, something different with an original style. Well done.

Wait a minute, how is the Punk Rock Flea Market All Ages if Bob is selling Penicorns there?
On another note, I'm probably going to buy Super Meat Boy on Steam eventually. That game is a cult classic.

Steam with Super Meat Boy mixes well, I'm pretty sure it would sell even better if they threw in a Team Fortress 2 character and hat for each purchase. I'm definetely buying it for the PC, mainly for the "PETAphile" Tofu Boy unlock.

You may have suggested it... but Not before I did! This flash may have gotten the most benifit of any flash ever from the Treasure Hunt. It's breathtaking. It went from 8,000+ views and 80+ reviews to over 100k+ views and 571 reviews since it got front page to today. It always had a good score but people liked it so much that it jumped all the way to the top ten highest rated flashes on Newgrounds.
It's dropped off since then but just the fact that it got that high really says that this was one heck of an undiscovered gem. THIS is the sort of thing that makes the treasure hunt worthwile.
I just wish more finalists had gotten exposer. This Treasure Hunt just hasn't gone as well as the last one. No one it doing reviews of all of them and I really think that not doing that dedicated revolving door of gems on the front page lessened the impact a bit over all.
I really like this contest a lot but I'm not sure how well it's been able to help showcase the flashes posted over all, exceptions like Paging Dr Seuss notwithstanding.
Collecting NG's undiscovered gems has been a hobby of mine since 2005. I am curently posting them on my blog.
Feel free to check them out and tell me what you think.
