Well, a lot of UK users have been getting pissy about American stereotypes, saying that 100% of Americans are obese, lazy, and stupid. Worse, they're blaming the entire country for the mistakes the Bush made in the Middle East. They're blaming the entire country for a war that not everybody wanted, started by a leader that not everybody elected, or wanted in power.

C'mon, that's almost as bad as throwing World War Two back in Germany's face.

If they think Britain was always such a perfect country, then they know nothing about their own history. Take a look at what Britain did before WWI!

They tried to annex India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Tanzania, Swaziland, Nigeria, Ghana, and they tried to take advantage of their own fucking colonists, which is how America was created.

And I think a lot of the reason for a critical view of the US government is because our own government is so closely related to it - and we 'hate' them too. A lot of us seem to hate how submissive our government is seen to be to the Americans.

Really, the reason we would be critical of the USA is because we seem so close. It's very much a two way thing anyway, it's not like the British, and English especially don't recieve our fair share of flack in American media.

No, you really don't. We've got our newspapers printing but nice things about the royal family, WW2 movies come out talking about the Valiant efforts of the Brits and the rest of Europe in the war etc.

Meanwhile, we get moron Eurotrash from Britain and the rest of Europe saying the US did NOTHING to aid in WW2. That it was Poland, Canada, and France that saved Europe, when it was more the UK, USA, and Russia.
