I was never a huge fan of their music, but I still listen to Chop Suey every once in a while. Any idea if they plan on releasing new material? It sounds like they'll be playing their old stuff, but I'm just going by my interpretation of that link.

They are back. Someone sent me a link about rumours of them reuniting and I just got an email saying that they're doing a 2011 tour. Only UK date though is fucking Download festival. Bastards.

I header a few months ago that they may be getting back together.
Been a soad fan for nearly a decade now, have always been my favorite band. As soon as scars on broadway released there album I bought it, same with both of serj's solo albums.
Iv also seen serj live before and I would be very pleased iv system toured Australia

I hope they do some new material that's at least as good as Toxicity and their debut. Wasn't particularly keen on Hypnotize/Mesmerize.

Serj went nuts after the band broke up, making some really groundbreaking shit.
But it just didn't have the same punky feel that SOAD had.

I don't usually listen to much System of a Down, but its good to listen to all of their music because they didn't really change their style much through time. So hopefully they'll make a few more awesome songs before they dissapear again.

I'm well past the time when I was heavily obsessed with their music back in 2005. Still, I can listen to them every now and again and appreciate where their music lead me to. I would have loved seeing them live just once but if their only UK show is Download, I'll have to give it a miss.
