Speaking of reactions, someone set a fire in the plotter's mosque.

Now this is unjustifiable fear at its finest. A terrorist attack inside our borders and already people are calling it an inside job. Way to go, mates.

It WAS an inside job. The FBI designed the plan, acquired everything, and sat the kid in the drivers seat. Mohamud didn't have to do anything but go along with it.
Injured Workers rights were taken away in the 1920's by an insurance company (WCB), it's high time we got them back.

It sounds racist no matter how you say it, so here goes:
Most terrorists today that try to bomb us are Muslim.

Not really, no.
Most terrorists today that try to bomb us are Muslim.
And? There's a distinct difference between saying "here are the facts which say most of the terrorists who attack us are Muslim or of Arab decent" and saying "Muslim's are evil murderers who do nothing good". If you can't see the difference...well...

Just because FBI insurgents were posing as fellow terrorists to make sure the kid was serious about his plan, does not mean the FBI set it up. They can't make an arrest unless they had hard evidence that the kid was a terrorist, so, as far as the kid knew, the FBI helped him with the plan by supplying the vehicle and explosives.
Of course, there were no explosives.
Honestly, what would the FBI gain in setting up their own terrorist ploy and framing some kid? It's irrational to think like that.

The sad irony about this situation is, that if the bombing was successful, then everyone would be going crazy about terrorists on the inside, and if it wasn't {which was the case}, then this could have been nothing more than a prank.
Now, in this sitaution, you add in the fact that the FBI is involved with the attempted bombing, which means that either something's not adding up, or we're simply shooting at the hip with possible conspiracy theories, my guess is the former, but I wouldn't rule out the second option just yet.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Have we really come to this? Have we come to the point where threats of mass destruction and terror plots have becoem so commonplace that many people begin to feel no danger, even as a terrorist was trying to blow up their city?
Were you critiquing yourself or the expression expressed by the link? It sounds like you were mad at yourself for thinking this. I do not even recall the last time people felt no threat, as people have always been afraid of terrorists. If anything, this should be a sign of improvement over our critics who say we're too obsessed with being attacked.

I was using myself as a synecdoche for the entire Country. I almost laughed it off. Furthermore, being almost a week later, the lack of any substantial reaction (except for the douchebags who set fire to the Mosque) says a great deal. The City of Portland has more or less treated this just like news of another major crime. Take note for a day or two and then move on and forget. The only real difference is that people have quickly postured themselves in a manner to protect against retaliation.
