I've been reading about galaxies and all that for a little bit and thinking about it.

[The star then evolves into a degenerate form, recycling a portion of the matter into the interstellar environment, where it will form a new generation of stars with a higher proportion of heavy elements.]

(assuming multiple new stars form from this process simultaneously then those 2 make 4 after they degenerate and so on)

Meaning that the Milky Way (our galaxy) would keep expanding until the small star (suns) break the orbit of the Milky Ways center. Or that it keeps growing and growing until a galaxy is cluttered in some spots! And if there was estimated at this day 100/400 billion stars, in 1000 years how many new stars will have showed up in the sky that can be viewed from earth!

That's an interesting little factoid, but.... how does it fit into the writing forum again?
