Axl Rose Sues Activision

Apparently, W. Axl Rose, the lead singer of Guns n Roses and chief prick in the music industry is taking legal action against Activision for the appearance of Slash in Guitar Hero 3. Now I'm no rocket surgeon, but that game was released years ago and Slash left GnR 14 years ago...

Rose's complaint was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. He claims the game's bosses "began spinning a web of lies and deception to conceal its true intentions to feature Slash and VR prominently in 'GH III.'

The complaint also refers to moves to "promote the game by emphasizing and reinforcing an association between Slash and Guns N' Roses and the band's song Welcome to the Jungle."

Wasn't Slash the original guitarist on Welcome to the Jungle? Isn't the imagery of Slash intellectual property of Slash, as opposed to this megalomaniac, who told the rest of GnR that he was keeping the name of the band, as he is the band? Hence why the guns went and found a new singer and tweaked the name to Velvet Revolver.

But, knowing the American Legal system, he'll probably win. *sigh*

Well, that's strange. Seeing he actually worked with Activision to get the Slash Character done right. I saw this video on YouTube, where he poses for sensors to get the movements of the actual in-game character.

I honestly think Axl rose is the biggest pile of shit in the music industry. All he does is bitch and moan about fuck all and make shitty music. He had a brief period of actually producing something worth a shit in the late 80's, but other than that there's pretty much no reason to even bother with anything he's ever done since considering it's all garbage.

What I find sad is that I'm siding with Activision on this one and they're the scum of the gaming industry. I read the news the other day and thought if Axl Rose has such a problem with having a song of his on Guitar Hero, why didn't he take action sooner? As for having a problem with Slash being on there, what the hell?
