The thing is that Gaia isn't really a website devoted to it's forums either. Its about making cute avatars and 'meeting' other people with cute avatars in their 'World' section. The forum is just an added thing like with Newgrounds really. Their site just happens to be a lot more popular, hence so is their forum. But like I said with my original post, it's the lack of rules which makes up for such a popular forum. You don't have to care what you post as long as it isn't like sick pictures and that.

I'm shocked that it has more posts than 4chan though, very shocked. Guess 13 year old girls really do control the internet.

And who cares about memes?

On [very?] conservative guesstimates I'd say 4chan has over 1,000,000,000 posts as oppose to the 600,000,000 BB claims (which they admit is pretty inaccurate).

Guestimates being /b/ gets 100,000 posts a day (in 2008 moot said /b/ had 200,000 posts a day) and the other boards only get 10,000 a day (47 boards excluding /b/) over a period of 6 years (on average).

/b/ probably has closer to 250,000 posts a day nowadays and the others possibly have at least 30,000 a day on average (I have no numbers for these boards so it's pure guesswork). (These numbers suggest a bit under 4,000,000,000 posts total).

I know nobody probably cares but I was interested.

Yeah, I saw a huge thread in there that was nothing but "bump" by one user for endless pages. Likely (hopefully) a bot. An actual stat to be impressed over would be something like average characters per post, or if it was possible: average quality/post. I'd bet you'd see NG climb higher than a lot of those "big" boards.
