Propellerhead Reason question 2010-11-21 17:46:57 Reply

Is reason a fully functional music editor? What I mean is can I sequence, edit / arrange, and master/export all within reason?

Because it looks almost like a tool just for making the sound you want with virtual equipment.

yep you can do everything you just mentioned within reason. You will need an external program such as audacity though to convert the exported wav files to mp3's though. reason only exports wav files.

yeah you think they would have fixed that by now.. that and the lack of "vsti support"...

thanks that helps me out a lot. I tried the software once and was really confused, i'll try some tutorials out and see if I want to purchase it

well if you're decent with synthesis you should be fine without vsts

Still, I have to agree, some VST compatibility would be nice. I don't think I will ever be as good as NI material.

Let's be honest, Reason is a VSTi. A really fucking good one at that too.
