Programming tutorial suggestions?

Can someone suggest a good programming tutorial? preferribly AS2. I know a few basic codes, as you can see on my page, but i'm looking to make something really complicated, something like a action shooter game. any help is appreciated.

If you're just starting out, please learn AS3, I made the mistake to learn AS2 first but I hate doing that...

as3 is as complicated as fucking hell... as2 is so much easier

AS2 is easier, but you get into a lot of bad habits, like I did.
I still don't know as3, and I need to learn it.
AS2 isn't that bad, it's just old.
AS3 is better to learn because it's a lot like other programming languages
Learn AS3, you'll thank me later.

It's not as bad as you think. Check out http://www.wonderfl.net where you can code and test right in the browser. You can get the hang of it there and then get FlashDevelop FREE and really get into it.

Yeah, if you learn as2 it will make it a ton harder to learn a higher degree of programing in the future. Just trust us on this one.

How can you tell without knowing the language?
