does anyone here play the games on facebook? I, personally enjoy the games on facebook, many of them, the mindjolt games. although recently ive been playing backyard monsters, which is a nice little game.
what do you guys think?

The last time I replied to something about facebook games I got banned for three days, apparently (I wasn't home the whole three days so I didn't know till I got back).
They're all fucking stupid and I'm tired of farmville requests.

I used to play games on Myspace, like Mobsters. What sucked about Mobsters was that once you got into the high-50 levels, you basically got killed the second you logged in unless you had 500 added mob buddies. It got boring at that point, so I deleted it and have never played games on social networking sites since.
I play mafia wars and icy tower :P

I totally agree, if i want good games i will play the best.
I'm sick and fucking tired of Farmville telling me to post shit on my wall. I don't want everyone to know i'm playing farmville. No one cares.

The whole point of Facebook games are meant for killing time when you're bored, not nessacarily for enjoyment.
I admit that I did play some of these games before, partly because people kept sending me requests to play these games, so I went in and played them. Frankly, I'm bored with them because you either had to get 500+ mafia members in your group, which is almost impossible now, or spend money on cards to get rewards and extra goodies, which I certainly will not do at all. And don't get me started on Zynga, the biggest bunch of crooks on FB, if not the game industry.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Yeah, but the games at Facebook unfortunately have more views on their games. Does anybody have a definite estimate as to the views their most played games are? Ours have about 43 million at our highest (the hentai sim girls thing).

My friends tried to get me hooked on Farmville, so I remember giving it a try one day. After 10 minutes of "playing", I realized it was the gayest, fucking shit I had ever seen, and I was NOT going to plant another strawberry seed on my fucking farm. You know you can just embed flash games into facebook applications?
What I'm quite confused about, is why more authors don't do this. Like, the traffic facebook can produce is amazing, and it definitely targets a different target audience to newgrounds, house wives bored during the day playing farmville. They would be interested in flash games if you just word it right. So why don't more developers post it on facebook as well as AG, NG, Kongregate?
Seriously, I'm tempted just to do it for them just to get a bunch of fans and then use the fans as cattle to target to the next game, and eventually getting developers to pay me to advertise their game to my targetted fans.
