3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsI haven't checked for sure, but I might be going again. I will be 16 next year but still one of the youngest, I will go if I can get someone to go with me. I might bring Matt again, but we aren't that good friends anymore so he might not want to come. The speed boating on the thames sounds good, im definitely up for it. I would love to see the thames barrier, and it would make a change to namco.

There was one in April for Pico day. You missed it. There was also Robot day. You missed that, too.

Given the number of people who turned up for both events, and the fact that Pico day was combined with another meet (Baltimore, I think) the next day, yes.

Other than being too young for pubs, the amount of stuff I'll have to bring too is shocking.Alright, next time, I'll try and stow a shopping trolley along the way, so that we have a backup plan ;)
With the fact that my brother needed to upgrade from a hatchback to an estate car when his second arrived, I'm not surprised in the slightest.

Generally speaking, no. However, women need to be 18, as we don't want any embarrassing incidents *shifty eyes*

I barely got in The Ice Wharf last year. The bouncers were funny at me for using an expired passport to get in but my justification was telling them that it still states how old I am. You won't be lucky all the time. I'll definitely have a valid ID for London next year considering I'm working on getting a provisional license right now. I should have that before the Manchester meet.
And me with the photo ID on my driving licence and the Russian bouncer saying "This is you? It does not look like you." Crew cut and clean shaven, compared to my flowing locks and 70s 'stache, I can see why he queried it. Up to date photographs are required, gents ;)

And talking of facial hair, James, your avatar seems to have been updated. Nice.

I knew that gentlemanly style in which you behave was all just an act.
Looking into my exam re-sit dates, they are the 4th-12th of August so assume I was to fail an exam the possibility of me attending the meet would be non-existant and I'd just have to make my trip to London an independent venture instead.
It's still really early days yet, but thankfully I should know if I do need to re-sit an exam quite a while before hand, so the possibility of me attending isn't completely out the window, I just can't confirm until a lot closer to the date.

Seriously, it's going to be awesome.
Hah, guess nothing will stop me going next year, and Luis knows it.
Well, I'll see you all then!
I'll be there if I can find somewhere to stay or can afford a hotel or whatever.

Your best bet is probably to try and get friendly with someone and split the cost of a room at Premier Inn, Travel Lodge or something similar. It's usually about £60 a night for a two man room.

Just did a quick search of the pub last time to see how close the nearest hotel would be and came across a bunch of pub review websites. Scrolling through the list I came across this one:
"Perhaps the highest standard of karaoke anywhere in London. Heard a rendition of "Stuck in the Middle With You" (Stealer's Wheel, 1972) so pitch perfect I actually thought it was the original."
For those who weren't there last year, that rendition was by myself, SomaGuye and Oliver. We are famous.

I felt horrid when I returned from the meet and realised who Sucho was. I didn't recall her alias when she was saying it to me, then I realised and I was all :(
I agree meeting HappyHarry was divine too. He's such a nice chap.

I told Coop I'd get him a drink. We never sorted that out in the end. Then again, he never got his free drink from Luis... I think.
Here's hoping you'll be there, Gagsy.

Yes that's a fact. The only ones, ever. Don't doubt it for a second. BULLSHIT
