Clickteam, the company that makes The Games Factory 2 and Multimedia Fusion 2, has developed a free Newgrounds editions of The Games Factory 2. This version lets you make games and publish them as SWF to run on NG. You don't need any prior programming experience.
Sexysexybicycle is using Multimedia Fusion 2 to develop his game, Dooder! We're hoping this software will let more people live out their game development dreams. :)
This is awesome.

If this post was made after September 12th it makes me more of a liar.
Well, if you wanted to do introductions...
I certainly hope that good quality games will come from it. I personally think that the amount of hard work necessary for Flash help to produce quality games, but I digress...
This is very neat... I am downloading it now and will see what I can come up with. It's been a while since I've tried making any games or flashes since I have been so busy with other things, however this is something I will take some time to figure out since it's apparently easy to use and such.
Thanks for this Tom, looking forward to seeing everybody's submissions etc.
Yeah, whatever.
Although I'm sure I'll be shit using it, I shall download it and no doubt have fun checking it out.
Thanks Tom.

Thanks Tom.
Same, I still suck at flash but hell at least I do something right.

So, you are trying to tell me that this is an easy way to make games and even a toddler could do it to and upload the game to the portal? I hope this isn't too good to be true.
Girls just wanna have fun.

Tom just copy pasted.
"I am thankful for my family, for my home, and for my pet Renamon, Renamon. And I'm really thankful I won't have to eat Damn pie today!"
Holy shit, that sounds awesome.
Gonna download it now, see what it's all about.
I wonder who'll make the "Game Factory General" thread while they've still got the chance.. ;)
hi
Let's just hope this doesn't increase the amount of spam the portal gets.
Will try it as soon as I can!
Man this is one of the better tutorials I've ever seen for a program. It seems so easy. I love it.

In the wiki it says PC only. Do you mean for Windows computers only or for personal computers in general?
If you mean Windows then will there be support for Mac?

I use a Mac, and they are very, very good. At least try one before ranting w/o punctuation.

If Game Factory comes out with a mac version we should make a game or something. Even if they don't we should make a game some time. idk man.
Yes currently all flavors of our tools are PC (Windows) based only for the authoring side. Currently we are finishing testing on several new runtime options (Like the flash one you can build with in the NG Edition). They include Android, iOS and Mac. Once they are done, then we will move to providing a Mac version of the tool itself, as a lot of the work will be already laid down with the Mac, and iOS runtimes.

Note that it's only the editor that only runs on Windows. The games you build are regular SWF files, and will run just fine on Windows/Mac/Linux (Flash Player 9+).
Multimedia Fusion 2 is what I've always used.
Guys, try it, its amazing.
C'mon guys, let's go do some real coding.
Wow, I'm really excited to try this out. I could only ever create very simple games, but this sounds like it might help out a lot. After a I get all of my other work out of the way in the next week I have a feeling that I'm going to have a lot of fun using this stuff!
Has anyone read the "Before we start" section of the tutorial? What's up with the instructions for adjusting your resolution? Isn't almost everybody these days using higher than 1024x768 resolution? I kind of chuckled.
Well there goes all my Flash experience out the window.

Agreed. Multimedia Fusion is insanely easy to use and extremely flexible. It, however, is not free, but is worth every penny.
I really hope good games will come from TGF2 on this site. :) Also, awesome job, Clickteam.
Just a starving artist. Nothing new.
I hope these smart technologies develop slower, or it'll crush what I've always worked hard at: programming.
