So I'm using Flash CS4 and had a question with a probable simple solution. I'm wanting to do zoom ins and close ups, but for some reason I'm having the hardest time figuring out how to do this. Any suggestions?

Would you suggest using vCam over traditional tweening?

If you want to zoom in animating mode, you can hold ctrl and the +(Zoom in) or the -(Zoom out). Or you hold ctrl and use the mouse wheel, I dont use CS4 so im not sure.

If its in the animation itself you want the zooming to be in, you can download a vcam for cs4 free and rezise it smaller.

Hope this helps. :D

I think I'm going to try the Vcam, but would you suggest learning how to zoom using tweening first to get use to the whole thing, or is Vcam easy enough to use for someone who is still a beginner?

It's easy to use.
Say your Vcam is at 100% (As big as the stage size).
If you want to zoom in, decrease the size of the Vcam by for example 50% and add a tween.

There you have it, a zoom. Very simple.

I'll probably end up using that. I looked into it and it seems pretty damn handy. Thanks so much for everyone's help.
