No-one really uses references to movies really often, yeah in my group of friends we use to make references, but I don't see other people doing it a lot.

I was thinking of going over to KnowYourMeme to find out what the most referenced thing was, and the thing they have there that has the most "comments" is "Newfags Can't Triforce". I do not even remember seeing that on any other website, and the thing with the most pictures is "fjsal" so maybe that's the most overused thing. In terms of other memes, who could forget the classic "lol"? My mom knows nothing about memes and even she knows about that.
