Well, Fancy Pants seems to have made it bigger than I had thought. I'm not sure if this is a port of World 3, since a lot of the levels look the same as ones Brad has already shown, or a completely different game. Looks like WiiWare missed the boat, but I think Nintendo is to blame for that, not Brad. The ridiculously small file size makes putting anything on the service immensely hard; Super Meat Boy on Wiiware even got delayed because of it. So what do you think? Excited? what do you hope to see?

i have full confidence and since this is Fancy pants debut console release he's going to handle it with extra care. Even so the original fancy pants are fun and with more time, more money etc. there's no telling what we could expect!

Except when they give the developers a pretty short deadline, cut a bunch of stuff from the game to be released as DLC later, making the game come out with a bunch of bugs until a few patches are released, and even then, people will still keep having problems, and they won't give a shit.

This is so weird. When I first joined, my first or second review was of FPA World 2, and at the end, I added:

"If you had any thoughts about ever putting the Fancy Pants series onto the XBLA, I would suggest making the game a bit longer, but other than that, this game is a rare gem among a sea of cruddy Flash games. I hope you have good luck in all future games, and continue to stay fancy."

Normally, this would worry me, but spring is not the usual time of year to release a downloadable game. If I were EA, I'd delay the launch until summer, for the XBox summer of the Arcade and to emulate the launch of other indie titles, such as Castle Crashers and Braid, which have been successful, due to their summer release. Summer is also a good time for releasing downloadable games because kids have free time and a bit of cash, but the holiday releases are lightyears away. If anything, EA would artificially lengthen the development period, leading to some tacked on online mode or something.

Seeing that link makes me wonder what exactly the console version of FPA has to offer. Just by looking at it, all I see are bits and pieces of what at least WAS going to be FPA: World 3. Will it be more like a full game, or just a Flash-sized game?

The 360 has a Silver account which is free, you can still download stuff but you can't do multiplayer.

Also, while it does cost alot for Live service, you can buy enough months of Gold to last you into the next console generation, which by now would cost less then a PS3!

You also don't need a special wire, I use the same one as my computer has and its the standard erthanet cable. So unless you know absolutely nothing about wires its not "special", you can also go wireless but that sucks.

DLC packs were SUPPOSED to be about adding on to complete games, but instead they're being used for completing incomplete games.
