That depends on the two people you pick. My top two are not equal, so it would be an easy choice, but some below them are equal in my eyes. In that case, I'd probably let the hostage holder kill the other person, so at least the blood wouldn't be directly on my hands.

I mean, if I have a weapon, then charge after the guy. He either may kill me, or kill my other loved one first, then I'll likely kill him.

If I kill the loved one, then chances are he'll kill the other loved one, then me.

You can't be serious. You are going to trust a killer who has a loved one hostage saying, " Kill that person, or this person dies."

If you don't kill the one next to you, then the one hostage will die. On the other hand, if you do kill the one next to you, you aren't sure if the killer will kill the hostage too. It's either let one die, or kill one and have a possibility of killing the other.

I choose to let the hostage die if the odds are that intense (which I highly doubt that will ever happen.)
