Drinking Coffee

Would you considerr it religous to drink coffee because isnt coffee special.. We know it stimulates the brain but what else does it do for us.. How do we know its helping us become more alert what does the cafine do to us when we drink it thanks.

Having sex is special but that doesn't mean it's a religion.

Also, coffee contains caffeine:

- Speeds the heart up
- Nerve signals fire quicker
- Metabolism is increased = more heat

I genuinely love the taste of coffee; however, I only drink it when I know I am wide awake and have nothing to do. I would never drink it before going to work or when I am tired.

Just because you don't understand something doesn't make it "religious".

Coffee sends caffeine into your bloodstream and caffeine looks alot like the chemical Adenosine (a naturally occuring body in the chemical that regulates your energy) , so it binds to the Adenosine receptors and blocks them off from your natural adenosine.
Because this receptor cannot sense any adenosine in your body it cannot regulate how much energy you have, therefor tricking it into thinking that you have much more energy left.

We have the ability to unleash great deals of energy in our bodies, but it is not natural and disrupts our natural process. But I still love coffee.

I often drink coffee during the day, and have at least one cup every morning. Of course, here in Italy cups are very little compared to other nations' standards.

In fact I usually avoid it when outside Italy, there's just too much water for my tastes.
