What do you think should come out for the kinect? As you know its like a webcam you do motions to play the game. A few games i thought would be funny to play,

- Swimming

- The Sims

- Gears of war 2

Could work, seems likely to be a mini-game of some sort though.

- The Sims

Again could work, but why would you play Sims on consoles....

- Gears of war 2

Doubt that would work, even with the upcoming Gears 3. There'd be no way for you to move your character while shooting unless you incorporated a controller in as well. Without a controller, the shooting games would all have to be on rails.

The only FPS shooting I've seen with kinect was from a tech demo, and even then it didn't work out that great. The player moved by holding his hand in a fist in front of him to move forward, and used his other hand to swipe left/right to turn the camera.

Yeah I'm gonna look at the fps test for kinect but i just put swimming up there for the lulz. Because you would have to balance yourself on a chair or something and start flapping your arms around to swim. And the sims would be funny because you would most likely have to be the sim.

Gears of War would be awesome, but then it would have to be on rails like Wii sports tennis or something.

So there's no controller with the Kinect?.....

I don't see much potential. It's just a gadget that I'll never use.

I know that won't work for sure, considering how ridculous someone would look if they tried to get into cover or even did a roadie run. Don't forget about the other segments when you get into a tank and a Reaver, I don't think Kinect was designed for that.

Kinect is just a cheap attempt to cash in on the Wii's motion control, and I don't really seeing Kinect lasting for more than a year and a half tops.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Give it a few months, Microsoft WILL rip off the Playstation Move fighting game, no idea what it's called, but I know it's really grey.

If they do a swimming game, I want to see a Jaws mode. If they do a Sims game, I want to see full-body controls instead of a few set expressions. And Gears of War, it would have to be either rails, or make each small segment 3 minutes long. And everyone playing it will look like a tool jogging on a green screen.

I can see that happening, of course they'll have to figure out a way to keep people from accidentally (or on purpose) hitting each other in a game like that. Both players would be facing the camera, of course, but when you have two people fairly close together punching and kicking, well, you're asking for trouble. =P

man when i saw the preview for kinect back in E3 in 2009, i was quite pumped

Mostly cuz the official preview showed for about 10 seconds a kid playing a martial arts fighting game, where you fight with a virtual person.

That was the only thing i wanted kinect for. But since then that game has not been heard of, theres no fighting games for kinect right now except for "Brawlers uncaged" which looks kinda crappy :(

Is it just me, or would playing online with the fighting game in the preview be the coolest thing in the world. Just virtually fighting some dude across the world.

I donno, it got me hyped, but there are no good looking games

There is one. Its called Fighters Uncaged. Unfortunately it currently has a 39 on Metacritic. The Move Fighting game isn't doing much better, its got a 48 on metacritic. However The Fight: Lights out has a 7.9 user score as well while Fighters uncaged User Score is 3.6

Imagine trying to play Left for dead 2 on kinect. And playing a hunter or a jockey.

I have a feeling Activision will try and cash in on the Kinect by making a Tony Hawk Kinect game.

there should be a fighting game that scans your body and allows you to actually fight.

like if I jump, the guy in the game jumps the exact same way.

and to make it even awesome is the game could teach you moves.

The only motion control thing I have is the Wii. I DO have an XBOX 360 Elite, but with all that insanity of Zack & Wiki did on my arm makes me refuse to do Kinect. At all. Not even for 5 whole minutes.
