any attempt to manipulate other people's posting is utterly pointless. whether it be by flaming, trolling, petitioning, or banning people are going to do whatever the hell they want to do. and that is the way it should be.

Don't like a thread? Don't use it. Don't like people complaining? Don't read their posts. That is YOUR advice.

However, I'll simply assume that you're the type that goes looking for an argument, and look for the smallest of reasons to initiate one.

There is actually a somewhat decent grounds for discussion here if any of you bothered to think for more than a few seconds.

This is because they suck.

I agree, but only because it would tickle my fancy to see general flooded with truly general topics unhindered. I can see where most of the complaints are coming from - that the threads are useless (not thought-provoking or entertaining) and that if you're not going to put serious thought into making a thread, then you shouldn't even bother.

However, I also think that the cap of 4 threads a day is there for a reason - you get 4 goes at making a decent thread, and you improve with experience. While offering the odd constructive criticism in a thread (that is, "great story, man") most threads should just pass unhindered - and if they really suck, then they'll slip beneath the radar and be ignored by most people anyway.

Posting threads on a whim isn't too cool, but it is what this part of the BBS is for.

Some people simply enjoy complaining. They like to bitch about anything they deem worthy of picking on and do it out of entertainment or venting, just like there are a bunch of bored assholes that enjoy picking fights and initiating pointless arguments.

Only rarely does a complain, such as this one, emerge from the honest desire to change some things around here. The sad truth is that just like bitching won't stop people from posting stupid things, pointing this out won't really change the bitching itself, either. The reason? People just like doing both things.

People come here to enjoy themselves and kill some time. Some do it posting inane material and playing along, others do it arguing and complaining to get attention or to be a smart-ass.

Kids will always tell you that they dislike a thread, regardless of how often their threads and posts get deleted and how many bans they serve for being whiny little dickfarts.

I don't know why people constantly bitch about the threads on NG. You always have to option to just not post in a thread that you dislike. The BBS seems too full of combatant teens who think nobody should ever make a thread about IRL events.
