Fair play.
I have to admit, WaW at the most interesting campaign mode. Had it had a Multiplayer mode on par with MW it would easily top my COD list. I just happen to be a massive multiplayer fan, so WAW kinda wiffed for me on that front. It was ok, just not amazing or completely balanced.

I totally fail to understand how you could ever possibly think that :P
I thought MW2 and WaW were the worst of the serie. WaW was totally ruined by the over-powered Mp40 and the Stopping Power Perk, and the lack of variety between guns, plus the maps were random and so poorly designed, that they had to fix the countless glitches there was. The Campaign mode was a terrible mess of Infinite Respawn. There was no strategy at all. All you had to do is rush to the next checkpoint and hope to survive, so the Enemy Spawning point would change place. It was a pain in the ass to play it on Hardened or Veteran. The Zombie mode was fuckin' awesome though :)
MW2 was so frustrating... Over-powered guns, over-powered perks, over-powered classes set-ups. Knife runners... Noobtubers with OMA and Danger Close. Scar-H + Stopping Power.... all the things that ruined the game. Plus, the killstreak rewards kills were adding up toward your killstreak.... which was pretty much an invitation to camp. The campaign mode was great though.
CoD4 multiplayer was very simple like you said. But that's a plus to me. There was not like... A HUNDRED THOUSAND ways to play the game. It was limited to a small selection of perks to customize your character, but that was just perfect. The game was stripped down to the basics, making it a great multiplayer game. It was pure skill.
Black Ops to me, is basically a fusion of WaW and MW2, but... better. They fixed most of the problems from the two previous games, while improving it with great maps and some new perks and guns... balanced perks, with some slightly over-powered guns, I must admit... but nothing too serious.

Reached Prestige 4 the other day, going to see how long I can stick using the Olympia as my primary weapon for and just run and gun, taking other people's guns as I go along. Does anyone else make a habit of running through the map and scavenging enemy guns? Some of these guns have extra bonuses like a lot of ammo or double attachments from the Scavenger Pro and Warlord perks, and I'd rather have a stolen AK74u as my backup weapon than a handgun.

Anyone here willing to record and upload a clip in my file share? I just got a pretty awesome ace that included a triple kill and double kill. The overall score was 11-0.
PM me if you have a PVR and an Xbox 360.

All the time. Everytime I run over another decent gun, and it's safe to switch weapons, I'll do it. It can come in very handy when I run out of ammo on my primary weapon, or you can change gun rather than reloading if you don't have sleight of hand on.

I always pick up weapons from the ground, to replace my secondary. And whenever I come across another weapon I like, then I replace one of the two main guns I have, most of the time, I replace the one with less ammunition.
And I've reached prestige 8 the other day... It's taking forever to get through this shit...
I've also came across these videos on YouTube. I really like what this guy does :)

Judging the games overall my list would be
1. Modern Warfare
2. Black Ops
3. MW2
4. WaW
I loved zombies on WaW and I liked the campaign from MW2 more than WaW. The deciding factor between the two was the online play. I haven't played the others enough to really judge them fairly.

I say this list is good :) Even though I cannot pick between Black Ops and Modern Warfare (COD4), I still have to approove on this one. WaW and MW2 were sooooo fucked...

In terms Enjoyment : Time, it'd be
1. CoD 4:MW
2. CoD 6:MW2
3. CoD 7:BO
4. CoD 5:WaW
I dont know why, but I dont really remembering ever having a lot of fun on WaW, just normal fun. BO hasn't been out for as long as the others, and the "perfect" balance didn't make it as fun. But MW has been out the longest, and I have hd the most fun on it.

I've only played CoD4, WaW, MW2 and Black Ops. So this is how I would rank them.
1. CoD4
2. MW2
3. Black Ops
4. WaW
The way I've ranked them doesn't mean much to me. I like all of them (minus the hackers).

Yes, but it would've been #6. I was not a fan of MW2, but I did hear it was a better game on consoles than PC.

As far as the Campaign goes, I thought it was amazing, and really, really fun. Plus it was my first FPS game I played extensively(I had played HL1 before that, but never finished it), I guess it's more of a Nostalgia thing. It just had an "epic" feel. I hate using that word, though. Especially in the Russian part of the campaign.
I dunno, I think Cod4 was really good too, it had amazing MP and SP, and I love them both.

So true :) One of the best games I've ever played, along with Chrono Trigger on the SNES and the Knight Of The Old Republic games on Xbox.

Sorry, but Chrono Trigger not nothing on Golden Eye on the N64 :3 The best FPS of its time, and sadly the only James Bond game to ever live up to the hype.
Anywho, I'm feeling a little off my COD. I could slip in a hint that I have the new Homefront game and multiplayer on it is like BFBC:2 but in some ways better/some worse so join me for a lulz ;D . . . . . . but instead I'm going to ask you guys: How to I start enjoying my COD again?
Only have Black Ops as I have a habbit of trading games in after I've played them to death, keeps my video game spending to a reasonable amount of actual cash being handed over. Currently my skills aren't progressing, I'm just dying to stupid mistakes I never seem to learn and the final part is out of my hands.
COD eats my internet like no other game. No other game has lost connection, or kicked me out of PSN, or simply been as bad connectivity as the COD games I have played and owned.
My internet is dodgy at best due to my location across the house from the router, but every other game excluding HAWX2 has been smooth, easy and almost perfect lag free despite marathon 5-8 hour sessions on a weekly basis. COD seems to be blighted on my PS3, and HAWX 2 is just crap at matching so we'll leave that one aside.
Anyone else have this issue?

My router is also completely on the opposite side of my house, as well as down a level from my ps3 and I live in a split level so my house is pretty wide. Games run pretty smoothly online for me but I do sometimes just lose connection for no apparent reason and have to reset the router to sign back in. It doesn't happen so often that it's a real problem for me though, just a slight inconvenience. I'm not sure if the distance is the cause of my problem or not, but it's my best guess.

Possibly.
Anywho, over the last week my internet seems to have given up and died on me. I'm getting just about dial-up speed (20-50kbs) on my downloads for updates and the COD:BO First Strike package (took the plunge last night and shelled out the £11) which occasionally bumps up to about 1/2 a MB a sec.
Trying to play online in these conditions is, quite literally, impossible. Untill I either replace the router or the problem fixes itself (might be the ISP limiting us for all my brother's downloading this month) I'm sticking to playing Farcry 2 and Great Battles Medieval.
Atleast this tourney hasn't kicked off yet, might in some small chance get to play it.

A couple of questions if I may.
First, is the cod black ops first strike pack supposed to have 6 parts to it each one between 1300-1700mb in size?
And second, if that isthe case why the fuck is it so huge? Only a few new maps for multiplayer and a zombies expansion, why is ittaking more space then 2 average ps3 game installs?
It's going to take forever to download and install all 6 bits even with decent Internet >:(

The map pack on the Xbox 360 is just one big file that's about 750MB in size, there's absolutely no reason for the PS3 version of it to have these 'parts' and the size really shouldn't be more than 1GB. Perhaps it's a weird glitch or something? Cancelling the downloads and re-downloading the map pack from the PS Store should help.
Speaking of the PS3 version of BO, I was inspired to play it after a little talk about it with the user Black-Ops (thanks Grant <3), and I must say, it's definitely been improved to the point where I'm having more fun playing it than I ever did playing the 360 version.
The framerate issues are barely an issue, and there's less Ghost and FAMAS whores playing compared to the 360 userbase. Only issue is that the Locale Only matchmaking option keeps putting me in Spanish/Dutch/French lobbies even though I'm from Britain, but I get host about 8/10 after an inevitable host migration anyway.

Nope, same issue, how odd.
Regardless, after downloading one of these 6 'bits' I tested out the idea I may have been made to downlaod different 'versions' of the pack, perhaps different versions depending on your global location as one of the 'bits' information was displayed in French.
I don't know if that's the case, but after downloading and installing that one part of 6 all the first strike maps have been unloacked and I can now play on ascention. However, while playing ascention solo it did crash, so we'll try out some more tonight to see if this is a regular thing.
