We've just released the new version of the NG MAG! Stamper and I have been working on this on and off for a long while now. Now that it's finally done, what do you guys think? Comments? Suggestions? Lay them down!
Keep in mind that these pages have only been tested between a few people. Everything should be present and correct, but there could be small layout discrepancies, and minor code changes that need to be addressed. Please leave anything you feel is out of place/order in a reply to this message. Also note, that at this stage, there isn't a great deal of information in the Mag, because it's new! Something that will change very rapidly, I would think.
Just a few things to point out.
1. Not everyone can submit Community News articles or Devspot Interviews. We want to keep the writings in those sections of the site as neat and clearly written as possible. If you would like to write for either section, please contact Wade with samples of what you would like to put in there.
2. Please do not rush to submit an Alpha. If you intend on posting an Alpha, make sure you put some time and effort into it beforehand.
3. When you submit a new Portal entry in the near future, if you have an Alpha, you will be prompted to check which Alpha it is (if any) that your new entry corresponds to. Your Alpha will then be removed and put into a special section. More on that later.
4. Those authors who have Alphas and who have had people make suggestions as to what to put into their upcoming submissions will be able to mark whether they found the suggestions helpful or not if logged in.
5. New options will be available in Grounds Gold for authors who have Alphas in a while.
6. Check out the nifty audio sampler at the top of all the Mag pages! (Orange link).
7. Enjoy! :)
Wow that looked nice, i never noticed ngmag untill just now but looks great, very cool and sleek design, are we gonna be getting our own series page anytime soon, and also what about that stat chart for the movies time line, ok maybe i am asking abit much anyways great job guys looks great...
If nothing else, it certainly has a nice look... though I am afraid of the hanging... people... it's a good idea, so far I've checked out the Alphas page, and Devspot... it's nice work, but what else Should I have expected? ^_^
And if I scan that barcode, would anything come up?
Nice layout and everything. I never really read these before, but now I'm a lot more interested.
FUCKING INSANO! I knew that suggestion to get ng mag back I posted nearly a year ago would work!
heheh looks spiffing!

Yeah... It does look a helluva lot better than the NG layout.
Looks great. The layout's good and I love that audio sampler, wouldn't mind seeing something like that in the audio portal.

If you think that stuff looks pretty... Wait awhile and see what else Stamper has up his sleeve.

A platinum watch.

Was it really that long ago? And we all wanted to bring this stuff back. :)
I would have to agree with that "fuckface9000" guy. I'm not sure if he was being sarcastic but I though the looks were awful compared to the main NG site. Sure, it has good graphics(is that what it would be?) and such, but I just dont like it.
The layout does look very slick, a lot better than what is used on NG, in my opinion. However, I did notice a slight problem.
I tested this with both Netscape 7.1 and Internet Explorer 6.0 to make sure it wasn't just Netscape, but the links along the top that go to the various sections, they link to html files, not to the respected directories where the sections actually are.
Otherwise, it's boss.
I agree, not much on it, but it looks like it could grow :)
Its kind of odd to see the black porn ads on such a bright page, but, what can you do? meh...

tis a shame ya crazy foo'!
I think the new design is excellent. The whole point of a different color scheme is to establish the MAG as different entity to NG. The mag is going to give NG the much needed content and coverage it needs.
Its going to be another reason for coming to ng! Watching flash and using the forum can get boring at times (I think it has something to do with the changing of season) and I think this will compliment everything that ng is, a fantastic community.
I like the desing, good work :)
A little weird to me the content, but is ok I gues...
MMmm... I was thinking... what happend with that page in Newgrounds about dating girls and guys?
I can't remember the name of the URL...
haha frickin great. Can't wait to see who's going to be hired to write for that. I'm afraid that it might get overflowed with shitty previews though. Unless I missed a detail. in that there explanation : )
anyhow, great job dOOds. Maybe you'll have to add Stamper to the permanent staff list

Looks pretty good! I like it a lot! I wonder if there will ever be anything about me in there....
the only thing i ask Illjim is to make a bigger button for it so you don't have to go looking around for it (but i'm sure you've already thought about that). but other than that, the page itself is pretty clean looking.
