"Thunder Ball"; think American football but the ball is made of a light conductive metal and has the same rules. The only difference is that there is a giant Tesla coil and the players have to throw it 15 seconds or be electrocuted with low voltage/amps (not fatal but a bitch).

Most Tesla coils operate at above 25 000 volts. To make them electrocute someone running around on a field with a conducting ball would need several billion of volts to reach every one of them, but then it would just electrocute the one standing closest to it, where ever the one with the ball is. However, make the shock-circuit inside the ball and this game would be more probable.

Yeah, let's put Tesla coils upside down on rails under the roof and let them wander around randomly and randomly zap the convicts as they play dodge ball or something. It's like dodge ball, but with lightening - REAL LIGHTENING!

I suppose so, but you could consider a sport "made up" if it had things that simply could not happen in real life, like I don't know, unicorn racing. That's definitley a made up sport.
