I had to start my song again as my computer got a virus and I lost the composition and the recording.

Well it's pretty much finished. Unless someone hears some major issue that i don't, this will be the final. Also, if you plan on making your votes based on the sound off of the NG player, i would recommend downloading the song and listening to it, since the player has some sort of compressor on it that slightly takes away some of the tone. But that is up to you :3

I'll be sending in my entry tomorrow, most likely in the afternoon around 12-3.

I can't believe that out of the 32 people who promised they could work on this project, only 13 people submitted a track. I can't justify having a live show to just showcase 13 tracks (as excellent as they are). During this week I will reveal an order in which the running order would have gone, but there will be no live show. The results will be posted on new years day. All applicants who failed to submit pieces and did not get in touch, will be disqualified, both from this contest and the next one. I just find it rude that people have signed up to this and not kept me updated, not to mention it's a stressful thing to put an organiser through.
Starting in 2011 there will only be one RAC contest each year, taking place in the summer. It's a lot of work organising the contest and when applicants do this it makes you wonder what the point is in organising the event.

Usually only the top 5 placing entries of each contest would be granted automatic qualification for the next one, but because I feel so strongly right now, 7 from this contest will be granted auto-qualification as a strong thank you to those who kept their word, and to apologise for the cancellation of the live show.

Well that stinks that people didn't follow through. Maybe you should consider moving the date before Christmas though, since most people will be spending it with family.

F the lazy excuse makers & the empty promisers. Thanks for running this, NeonProject. I had a great time making my track, I'm having a great time listening to the other folks who actually came through, and I'm willing to join up with the hunting party to go track down those who didn't come through & deliver punches to the head and/or gut.

tisk tisk....you should of let me enter this contest. I don't do empty promises unlike most people you signed up.

Neon, how much time is permitted over? I have my recording at 4:15, but if that's too much I can re-record my track, it's no big deal.

Yeah, I really didn't expect that so many people wouldn't do their entry! It's pretty disheartening, I was expecting a giant orgy of songs to be pitted against my own but it's so few...

Yeh, let's hold out hope that there's about 10 or 12 last-minute, non-responder types before declaring the whole thing off. What's the over/under on there ending up being 25 guys who turn in tracks before the official deadline (EOD tomorrow, right?)

I'll definitely be one of those last minute people tomorrow. Been putting a lot of work into the piece, but theres so many sections that the mixing is taking forever, so Ive had to knock it out chunk by chunk, and sure enough....the time has come and I have like 4 chunks left. Guess itll be another one of those "90% finished pieces with potential not taken" things that always happens to me in competitions
