Lol, Hi I'm France and I'm going so Gypsy you'll lose your first born to influenza. Hint of irony since at this time France is getting rid of their gypsies.

Lol so you pretty much just doubly confirmed the fact that Haiti was the one who one. Japan should never have even been there, and yes there may have been a slight difference in the winners list but more than likely the winner is who they where. so yeah, lets hope we dun get anymore cheaters this time lol

The fact that newcomers have to prove they're the ones making the music will hopefully stop that from happening again. :3

I can't wait to get started on my track! I think the only problem I'll have in making my song will be the lyrics. I think I'll get started on writing that right away.
I'M JUST SO PUMPED!!!!!

Don't forget guys, that research evidence is also part of the contest this time.
Any new participants must provide screen shots of their producing process to show that your track is legitimate.
There is still one automatic qualifying country left to be claimed (Thailand). So if you don't want to go through the semi-final system, that will be your best choice.

This exactly. But to be clear, Japan didn't just steal a song to win the RAC. He took another artists name and posted their music on multiple portal sites for weeks, simultaneously chatting with members on each site under the stolen identity and leading everyone to believe he was a girl from Japan...
Sometimes, it would rain men. "Hallelujah!", we would cry. Thousands were killed.

Hey there. I might not understand correctly (because I am a noob, and am therefore incompetent), but I'd like to enter, and I'll take the last auto-qualifying spot if it's still up for grabs.

Son of a bitch!
Turkey here, with an update on my motivation: I have lost a bit due to, what else? Instrument malfunction! I was tuning up my saz yesterday to start on ideas for the song (was thinking maybe elektro saz type of psychedelic, even though I play acoustic) when the the third string in the third course of A, which is the bottom most string, snapped. I was tuning too high and wasn't paying attention so it pissed me off. I tried to re-tie the string onb but when I tuned it up, it just snapped again!
My strings arekind of old so it looks like I'll have to get new one's... Better ones at that.
The 'A' course I mentioned, is the course with the middle finger placed over it in the picture.

Crap. So I was right, I am a dumbass lol. Even though Thailand is open as an auto-qualifier, I have no real interest in making a horrible amateur approximation of Thai music just to get a free pass.
I have been listening to African music lately though (highlife/hiplife in parrticular), and have been meaning to try writing a piece in that style... so if it's alright, I'd like to change my selection to Ghana. Thx!

If you want to post a picture of you giving the rest of us the middle finger, just go ahead and do it. Don't make some long-winded excuse about strings breaking on your saz. :P

If the country is taken you will have to choose another country or contact the artist who has already taken that country. The only way you will be able to represent the United States at this stage is if you collaborate with the artist who already holds that country. It is written in the rules how this procedure is done.

I already made a nine minute version yesterday. I'll be making one that is on the 4 minute mark in the next couple of weeks. Adding more interesting things to it :)
