I have kicked my cat in the butt a few times or sprayed water or something like that. This is mostly because my cat has a nasty habit of leaving me with bad claw marks. In fact, my cat just recenetly put four stratches on my arm, although they are not very visible now. I think that if a cat physically hurts you, it is only then that you should use the same physical force against your cat. They really should be taught a lesson.
