Welcome to the Classic Games Club!

This club is for people to discuss classic video arcade, pinball, their experiences in arcades, classic video games, and arcade history.

RULES:
1) No modern console or console game talk (consoles and their games coming out post year 2000). This is called the Classic Games Club for a reason.

2) No advertising of flash games. As good as they *may* be, they are internet based games, which are modern.

3) No post year 2000 PC or PC game talk. Again, that's not what this club is about.

Enjoy the nostalgia!

I'd like to join this.

I'm really into pinball, both real and the video game versions of it. Any of you guys ever play Sonic Spinball or Devil's Crush?

Glad you want to join!

There's no "sign" for you to wear, so you could put a link in there.

As for your comment, I've never heard of Devil's Crush or Sonic Spinball (pinball form). Then again, I grew up on video games. Even so, that sounds like an interesting thing to try.

I like older games. I do like new games, but when it comes to games I always go back to, the older ones are always there. Sid Meiers Gettysburg, Age of Empires, alot of the PS1 games, Roller Coaster Tycoon, and although not before 2000 (barely) Civilization III.

I'd love to join this club. How far are back are we able to go considering consoles and games? Is it just anything before 2000?

Yes. Anything before the Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube came out.

I just have to say I just thought this up and I must say I think it's pretty damn clever.

Put it in the sig if you'd like. I can even make a sig for the club if you want.

Recently I've been playing Final Fantasy 1, 2, and 5. I've also started Donkey Kong 64.

Anyone have and GBA, NES, or N64 suggestions? Preferably lesser-known games.

Alright. Well I whipped this up pretty quick, if you want to use it. I wouldn't be offended if you used theirs though, they are pretty pro.

I would, but the size of the file is too large, and I think they'res won't take very long to make (if they don't ignore my post). Thanks anyway, though.

Yes. Anything before the Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube came out.

Alright thanks. I guess I'll be staying. I will get on discussion very shortly.

Wow. For N64, I'd reccomend any Rareware game, Banjoe Kazooie, and Jet Force Gemeni.

For the GBA, I'd reccommend Tron 2.0 Killetr App, Lord of the Rings 1, 2, and 3, Krazy Racers, Boulder Dash EX, and Namco Musueum if you like the classics.

Hope you like the suggestions!

Your local flea market perhaps. Some game stores might sell one.

Thanks. I'll check my flea market on Sunday. I wish I could get it sooner but oh well I guess.

I'm not putting anything in my signature until I get comfortable with the club and it's members. I'm just saying this
because I want to become a regular here.

That's fine. It's not like I'm forcing you.

A fair warning, though. There isn't much activity around here, so you may not get comfortable for quite some time.

Okay, well thanks for the heads-up. I will be around for quite some time as well. I'll be a loyal member.

On another note, has anyone ever head of the game Conker? I'm just curious because I played it for SEGA.

I was one of those people who started off with the Atari. I played Pacman, racing games, and the game where you were either the tank or airplane and you would shoot the other enemies.

I played the Sega all the time. I loved playing Sonic, but I wasn't very good at it so I never actually ended up beating it. The game that I absolutely loved was Contra. I even play that every now and then on my computer. I also had a few other games such as this game where you were a dinosaur on a skateboard, but I have no clue what it was called. Battletoads, Beavis and Butthead, Garfield, and plenty of ninja games really filled my childhood. I was a gamer from birth. (I had so many games that I can't even think about listing them all)

When I was a little older I moved on to the gameboy. I played Mario a lot along with the different Pokemon games. I still have all of these games along with the original black and white gameboy, but I haven't touched them in years.

I got a little advanced later in my life with the PS1. I mostly played Grand Turismo, Spyhon Filter, and random demos that I would get in the mail. Then I was introduced to Resident Evil! Oddly enough, I found Resident Evil 3, moved on to number 2, and then played number 1. These are by far my favorite series for the PS1. I then discovered the RPG. MY FAVORITE GAME STILL IS LEGEND OF DRAGOONS, which reminds me that I have it on my computer. I also played an amazing Final Fantasy game for the PS1. These games almost created a second life for me because they absorbed you into the game, making you think you were in them.

I could probably talk about a lot of these things for quite awhile. :P

What other games do you have related to Sonic?
