Possibly. I don't know, really. I love me DSi, and unless the 3DS has Gameboy compatibility, I won't get it.

Damn, typo. DS Lite, not DSi.
Silly me.
im not big on handheld gaming so i wont get it. The chaos theory port look good though. too bad ive played that game a million times though
I am defiantly gonna buy it. I am probably gonna get the new ocarina of time, kingdom hearts, and Kid Icarus
I am. I was going to buy a DS Lite to replace my broken one, but seeing how this is coming around, why not just go next gen. Kill two birds with one stone.
Reasons why:
1. New Paper Mario
2. New Mario Kart
3. Star Fox 64 Remake
4. MGS3 Remake
5. Ocarina of Time Remake

I won't buy it, my little brother will... And then I will use it more than him.
Yeah, whatever.

I was sold on this thing the moment someone said "OoT 3D". That was when I went from "3D is a gimmick" to "ALL HAIL MASTER IWATA". Of course, Kid Icarus, Star Fox, Paper Mario, and Super Street Fighter IV don't hurt. The hypothesized third-party support, having stuff like Persona (which I'm frickin' dying to try) and Kingdom Hearts (oh God yes) and Dead or Alive (BRB, polishing my stylus), that's sounding great too. And having Pokémon on 3DS, among other franchises, is inevitable. The only thing that would make it any more perfect is if they recreated Majora's Mask a year or two after OoT.
As long as it has GB Color and GBA support, yes.

It'll have it own Virtual Console service for portables like the Game Boy and GBA. You'll also be able to port over your games from DSiWare to your 3DS.
On subject, I won't buy the 3DS right away, I wanna see the reviews first. But that new Megaman Legends 3 is coming home with me day one, even if I won't be able to play it.

I hope you mean for homebrew.
Here's my Dtoid account. And my Urban Terror ID is BenelliM4-Medic. And I know Travis Touchdown isn't a Capcom character, but I put him in anyway.
Ocarina of Time, Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil, MGS3, Kid Icarus, Steel Diver, Ninja Gaiden, Splinter Cell, and Assassin's Creed are simply the titles that have been announced. This is the best early lineup Nintendo's had since... ever.
really 3DS? sounds kinda corny to me. I rather just stick to a Dsi lol too bad i sold mine.
The 3DS had me at new Paper Mario.
It reeled me in further with Layton Vs. Ace Attorney.
Just wait until the 3D DSI XL Lite comes out!! Am I the only one who thinks that Nintendo is going a bit overboard? I'm perfectly happy with my regular old DS. It doesen't need to be bigger, or smaller, or have some crappy camera, or even be 3D. I think it's a gimmick and a cash grab, which is sad to see from such a great company. Just my opinion though.

This, lol.
But seriously, I'll get it as soon as I can. I have an old phat DS which I held onto and still play a lot, so the battery is dying (It only lasts about 4 hours now, it used to last like 10) and the 3DS looks very promising so far.
Paper Mario, Zelda orcarina of time, and Mario kart for the 3ds.
I never really got into the Ds franchise, but i did like playing all my old pokemons

It doesn't have GB Color and GBA support, but it has DS support and also a shop to buy GB color and GBA games ala Wii Virtual Console.
Also, yes, I intend on buying the 3DS. Time to start saving money, I guess.

You do know it's a next-gen handheld right?

THIS WILL STAY FOREVER... YOU CANT EDIT YOUR POSTS ON NG... YOUR DS LITE WILL TAKE REVENGE... AND KILL YOU!!!!!!
I think it's funny how DS owners will bitch and moan that the 3DS doesn't have a GBA slot.
Idiots.
I usually frequent the VG and collaboration Forums. If you find me anywhere else, I'm lost and can't find my way back.
The 3DS is going to be the most unessacry launch eve, besides PS3. You can only get so far, improving a portable's graphics and it looks just like the Lite. It's just another crappy money-guzzler from the once respectable company known as Nintendo.
Ocarina of Time remake has me shitting my pants, honestly. I could only buy that game and be content. But of course, a Star Fox came is coming out, and more awesome titles will be announced soon. I would kill for a The World Ends With You Two. That'd be a zetta sexy sequel.
Yeah when I can afford it. The graphics are better and shit, and the upcoming games look promising.
Plus, I liek 3D.

poverty sucks.

Please remake the games you've already made as many times as you possibly can so I can have them in as many different boxes and with as many inferior control schemes as you can offer with extra features tacked on for value.

Well that's not very nice. I'm not a fan of rehashing myself, but there's only one port of Ocarina of Time and it was the Master Quest Edition. I'm sorry I'm looking forward to seeing my favorite game of all time on a handheld system. I have to admit, the idea of being able to stow away such an epic game in my pocket for usage on the go does make me jizz a little bit. Also, I hate Square Enix, and I asked for a sequel, not a remake. I don't want a remake of a relatively new game.
