I think you should stick to one thread :P

Other than that, I think it looks extremely simple. The tree looks like a crooked hand - in a bad way.
Trees have many, many, many more branches. I suggest getting a reference

Also the guy standing next to the tree says nothing to me at all. It ignores almost everything to be called anatomy, except the fact that he has two arms, two legs, a body and a head. I suggest getting a reference for that as well ...
also the hill he's standing on doesnt look natural, I've never seen a hill bulge up like that and then just become flat. and its lacking shading and background.

Overall, it looks like something you spent ~5-10 minutes on, which is not much, at all. Spend at least 45 minutes next time.
