What is your thoughts on a man hitting a woman if she starts hitting him?

I have never hit a woman. Personally I think that no human being should hit another unless they were hit first. I have never ran into a situation where I felt threatened by one. I really don't know what I would do if one started hitting me in the face. There is one reason why most people think it is wrong for men to hit women. Do you want to know what that reason is?

Because men tend to be much stronger than women.

Now is that really a reason for a man not to hit a woman? It seems to me like it is more of a reason for a woman not hit a man, doesn't it? Why in the fuck would you hit something that could rip you limb from limb? It is just common sense not to do that. It is the reason men don't go around punching grizzly bears in the face. Because the grizzly bear is fucking stronger than a man.

What is your opinion on the matter?

I never hit back when I get hit by someone that doesn't threatens me, like most girls I know and kids. However, when a girl manages to hurt me while hitting me, I do of course retaliate, most often by pushing them away. To now, I've never been in a situation where they've gone further after I've pushed them away.

I don't like violence, it's just a waste of time and resources that could be used for something useful.

Look, the real bottom line is; No one should really ever hit their partner. If there is a reason for doing so then they need to sit down and properly work out why the relationship is going wrong and whether it's right (usually is) to break up. This should work for both parties. If your partner hits you then you should walk. If your parter has angered you enough that you hit them out of extreme and rare anger then you should walk.

I was talking about an abusive girlfriend actually. Like of a girl starts hitting a guy first should he be able to hit her back. That is how I meant for it to be interpreted and that is how everyone else saw it. You try to make women seem like victims too much.

Pretty much this, but the thing is, even if a woman deserved to be hit in the face, it probably wouldn't happen because the man would likely be viewed as a monster for doing so. Pretty sad, and that's why women can be complete bitches and get away with it.

Not always, when I was a bit younger I destroyed the cellphone of a girl that was acting like a total bitch, I used a saw when I did it.
Got a couple of death-threats from her brother and what not afterwards, but he come across as a weak person so I wasn't scared at all.

First off, I would never do anything to deserve being physically attacked, so if I am then it must be some random act of violence. If I was hit by a women for some reason I think I would be startled at first then proceed to question her motives. If she continued her assault, I would defend myself accordingly.

The only problem I have with that unwritten rule is if a wife was stronger than a husband, and was physically abusing him, he couldn't do jack shit about it without looking like the bad guy.
