I have mixed feelings about gays, I mean, i don't mind being around them if they act "normal" but when im around the flamboyant ones, they start to creep me out and I definatly start walking the other way. With me being here in L.A. close to Hollywood and West Hollywood, I just tend to stay away from those areas in general as I can't help being around those flamboyant ones.

You see, what I don't get is the whole "I hate gay people" without coming off as an obnoxious retard. Usually anti-gay views are based on blind prejudice and assumptions. It's like hating black people but some how not being racist.

That is true but it can't be changed. You can try changing someones view. Sometimes it works, sometimes they stay the same, sometimes you just end up making it worse. The best thing to do is not to ignite it, don't call it out when it's not necessary. If all the person is doing is not liking then fine, if he's taking any action of it then it's a problem.

Not everyone lives in a society which would support them in the event of the individual choosing to "toughen up", as you put it. I never said toughening up was easy, I said it's what they should do. Manning up to face your problems is never an easy thing to do, but giving up and killing yourself should never be an option

Plenty of people are gay without being flamers. I have no problem with that.
