Fucking hell guys. The only reason this is even happening is because of the way we as a society associate all this crap with sex, and we make out sex to be a bad thing. Fuck, the girls in the team probably don't even know what is "wrong" with it, they just want to dance and have fun. But no, it's been deemed as 'slutty', moving your body in certain ways makes you a whore, right? I don't care that someone decided to leave the team, but her reasons shouldn't even BE reasons.

Looking at the video it showed some of the kids reciting the lyrics/shaking their "booties"...To be honest i was expecting something along the lines of when black females at the club do it. Call it to sexual or whatever but i really could not see the big deal from the examples shown of "booty shakin" in that video.

In Ontario cheerleaders don't come into play until 7th grade. And there are restrictions. Canada's rules and rights are reviewed constantly, with small changes made here and there for the greater good. I most definitely think this mentality is better than the typical all-american "patriot" who defends his right to kill.

And in America we let women have an option for sports before 7th grade. And before you go all "ur sexist111one" on me, there are plenty of male cheerleaders. We have sports commissions or boards or whatever the fuck you call them that review the rules in the off-season every year and make big changes "for the greater good." You are such a fucking idiot. How is my comment that it wasn't such a big deal related to your racist attitude towards Americans?

In all honesty, the cheer just seemed light-hearted and fun, and we're probably not getting the whole story. The girl was probably really shitty and disrespectful to her coach, which is what caused the suspension.

More people should be like this girl. not even to stand up to this specifically, but to stand up for something they find wrong takes guts.

Really, 11 years old? You know I thought it was a bit silly when Penn & Teller did an episode of their show where they talked about cheerleaders, but maybe they were on to something. Granted, I have not watched that episode, so I really know little about what I am ranting around anyway. This is certainly an example of how people can be just plain stupid and get so mad over really trivial things. She probably shouldn't be on that team anyway.
